I've never thought of the bed being Mipha's. I always just thought it was convenient to have a bed right before the Divine Beast battle. That is in the core game, by the way. That's not added by any mods.
@skyeplant43733 жыл бұрын
I absolutely believe that beginning area (though probably intended for the player to sleep in before Vah Ruta) was definitely Mipha's. The reservoir is a perfect size for Vah Ruta, and Mipha would then have a convenient place to watch over Ruta and spend time with her. I never noticed that before, what a cool detail! :)
@DadandCat3 жыл бұрын
Pretty sure the room is there…bc Ruta is the first Divine Beast many players face bc the game sends you in that direction after the plateau. So knowing people might lose a lot of health either in the Beast or in the ice block-it challenge with Sidon, they left a bed so people could recover hearts nearby. Ps- hope this video does extra awesome bc that thumbnail was great.
@Tacticslion3 жыл бұрын
The bed was always there. I used it a lot prior to buying my own house. I often thought of it as Mipha's (as it was next to her Divine Beast, being a place for her to retreat, refresh, and relax after a hard day of attempting to master the divine beast), though I wasn't sure that it was "still" hers a hundred years later. Ultimately, I don't think it *really* belongs/belonged to Mipha, because there is a lack of wear/dust/run-down-ness in the room (it's all too fresh and well-maintained) and literally no one at all mentions it in context to her. Thus my current guess is that (in-world-lore, insomuch as we can figure) it's simply a "traveler's refreshment location" - a place for people to find respite for a short time after a hard swim. ... unless, of course, it *was* Mipha's, and no one really pays attention to it, except Prince Sidon, who maintains it as a kind of "shrine"/memory (as it were) for his sister - something he would deeeeeefinitely do. I also considered it could have been an intended "gift" place for her inevitable honeymoon (or equivalent) with Link after they were married. (The relative, ah, "openness," as it were, of the area isn't exactly out of character for Zora's domain, if you look around the rest of the region. Thus it was more likely that it may otherwise seem for our typical sensibilities.) That said, I was never fully convinced of this, myself, and it was merely speculation. There really is no knowing for sure, but that's my current guess based on information.
@skyeplant43733 жыл бұрын
I definitely agree that Sidon or even other Zora would clean and maintain the room to pay respect to their beloved princess and sister. It's a fun little detail, even if the developers may not have meant it to be. :)
@Tacticslion3 жыл бұрын
@@skyeplant4373 I might even suggest that most of the other Zora don't go there simply in reverence of the Divine Beast (and later in fear of its berserk power, not to mention the electric arrows of the lizalfos).
@Tacticslion3 жыл бұрын
For clarity, I'm not saying the other Zora *wouldn't*, but simply that the way is too dangerous anymore for anyone but Sidon to remember it/travel it.

Did you know, that your baby bro, would have the perfect smile? When you kiss your baby brother, you've kissed the hottest guy in town. You get a Mipha's Spear for beating this dungeon and, again, the game doesn't really tell you to go back and talk to the guy from earlier (something you're only likely to do if you actually care about the plot). There's encouraging exploration and then there's obscure rewards for doing the plot instead of just going for Ganon. It's like a beginner's trap or something. "Oh, you have to use internet/friend to find out that we actually reward you with more than just taking off some of the final boss's health and a champion ability for actually bothering to beat these dungeons." Makes total sense.

Zoroastrianism is an ancient religion that originated in the Persian Empire dating back to around 500 BCE. It is believed to have been founded by the prophet Zoroaster. It is based on a worldview that revolves around the conflict between good and evil, and believes in the eventual conquest of good over evil. It is not widely observed today; as I understand it, most estimates guess that there are between 110,000 and 120,000 adherents in the world today. Zora-astrianism is a new religion that originated in the state of Minnesota dating back to December 7, 2021. It is believed to have been founded by Peter, though some dispute that his teachings were heavily inspired by those of the prophets Muzu and Hestu. It is based on a worldview that revolves around a dualistic cosmology of what is "wet" and what is "dry", and believes in the eventual "dampening" of all that is "wet" over all that is "dry". There are not many adherents of this religion in the world today, as many believe it to be a cult and a possible moneymaking scam for The Basement, but I'll be darned if I'm not ready to put on a bathing suit and fork over all my savings.
