I was able to do mine but I am very technical. I do not understand why this has to be so complicated for regular crypto enthusiast who own enough Flux for any node size. Why not a simple windows installer with the option to run a wizard, enter your wallet and collateral info, run benchmark, check port and done. All with a GUI and simple steps instead of this super long complicated process...

Because Windows is trash as a server purpose. it will constantly crash and is not efficient. If you want to pay 500$ for a Windows Server 2019 okay, yes that would work.

Why was this OLD video re-release... looks like only few minor changes .. the contabo VPS was removed with a list of other, but the flux amount was not corrected for new nodes and the amount you can gain for Cumulus drop down to like $55 and still dropping, soon it will be pointless if the price for Flux remain low .. anyways great detailed video ..

The installer has now been simplified. If you follow the medium guide its easier to copy and paste the commands as well. Not sure why they re-uploaded this old vid to make it more confusing.

I had a bit of a struggle here and there but it finally worked. I initially had just 2 cores then I realized I need 4 and for the benchmark I had to extend the logical volume.

Thanks for the detailed video! My node is now up and running and confirmed! One issue: everything works accept for the very final step in the video - when I use ZelID to login to the Flux web Dashboard I get logged into a random Flux Node. I get a different random node each time I log in, but never my node.

This is old information, including the old node requirements. Procedure is same, but requirements for new nodes as of March 2022 is far more stringent. A bit disappointed, since this will add confusion to the process.

I am made an attempt to add another FluxNode to my Zelcore wallet but I am unable to see it in My FluxNodes. Can someone help please. I see the FluxNodes locked in Scholarship but I am unable to get that added to My FluxNodes. I can't even unlock to send to a different wallet to see if it can automatically create a new FluxNode.

I run into a problem after I have entered all the id's etc and the software attempts to start daemon and synch the chain, it says it will take about 5 minutes and then nothin happens. After about 20 minutes it just tells me something is not right and it reboots the program. Was wondering if anyone could help. I've reinstalled docker and and fluxnode ( 1 & 2) and get the same result

Please advise what should I do if on the step 2 (Install Flux node) it reads "Something is not right the daemon did not start or still loading" and "Error: you must specify a zelnodeprivkey in the configuration", although I inserted all the keys according to your video. yes, you have to have the FLUX in your wallet , Then you start it up at that point your ID number for Node are created

send the coins to one of your zelcole wallets, rename one of the wallets to your node/name (any name) then send the coin (exact number, i.e 1000) to this wallet. then check in aps and zelcore should flag that 1000 transaction as a cumulus node. once you setup the node, it will lock the coins.

This install video is very disjointed. The steps do not match the current version. There has to be a way to simplify the process. I'm a very technical person, got through the install, but the benchmarks fail. My system exceeds the minimum requirements. I confirmed that the necessary ports are open. Even rebooted the server (local PC) and re-ran the benchmark process. After benchmark finishes, it states that it failed and to check the UI for possible installation problems. I logged into the web interface and can't find anything that shows installation problems. There needs to be a new video that shows ALL steps to set up a node on a PC, not on a VPS. If anyone know of a better video, please reply with the link. Thanks

No the more nodes that goes online lower the amount you get so their is 4x more nodes you will get 4x less as of today Mar 19, 22 that’s about $55 .. and more nodes will be coming online so within a few months it may make less than the cost of a VPS if the price for Flux not change (go way up) ..

you're talking about it's current price - it is way under valued as a project - should be closer to $5

So IMO you would look at it more of a coin vs $ valuation. Long term say 1-3 years those coins are possibly going to be worth say 10$ each. If you believe in a project and they perform well your profit can be eth level in the next bull run or SOL level heck thats 100-200$ a coin.. So I think again if you like the project then looking long term is where the profit is. If your looking to cash out in 3-5 years.. at least your initial and some profit.. leave the node to make money forever.. and its not ponzi nomics they actually provide services...

you only stake the coins, you don't lose so you can't really say ROI, if you setup a node today and wants to stop in a month, you'll get your collateral back, which you can sell. as long as the price goes up. you'll be fine.

@@kirillvasiliev8309 hello, yes finally. So I did the process about 5 times, and it was my settings for my router. I dis not realize that if I scrolled down a little the router specified what was hooked into it, I saw Ubuntu and finally clicked on that with the inputs and it worked. So my router was sagcom and I could not put in the parameters on the whole router.. that didn't work. Been up and running now for 2 weeks and just got my first pay out. Hope this helps

Bullshit, syncing can take 10+hr, bootstrap can take 3hr and up, not counting frozen, unresponsive syncing, if its fail, you have to redo everything again. Its take forever, i have try 10+ time. My vps is meet all requirements for cumulus with 200mb up/down speed. Shitty project.
