What I think is crazy is seeing so many of these goals that look undefendable by THESE PLAYERS. Like, mechanics have gotten to such a ridiculously high level that a significant number of matches turn into freestyle matches to see who can score more faster. Makes defensive MVPs in 1s look that much more impressive with what they can pull off on the back half.

I secretly think players are just heavily practicing offense 99 % of the time, and nobody cares about practicing defense. But I actually think the "true" meta of RL if there is one, involves a much higher lvl of defense that can shut down most of the "flashy" shots, so I'm excited for players like RW9 who seems to push that meta, while everyone else just pushes the offensive meta

After watching pro level rocket league I’ve come to understand that actually almost every pro player is evenly matched. If we had let’s say zen and rw9 play 100 games against each other, the outcome would be closer to 50-50 than 60-40. Maybe 47-53 probably 51-49. Because rocket league goes into OT there are no draws so someone has to win.

Hmm, I am not sure how they get those stats, if it's a mod or something. I am not really informed about the competitive community. But perhaps they would be able to fix it if they considered a collision between two cars only a bump if the front square of the hitbox of a car hit any square of the hitbox of another car except the front square of the hitbox of that other car. I say except the front square cause maybe the players get into rule 1 and constantly collide while accelerating into each other. Now, how would you do that in code? I have no idea

Everyone is different, he had played incredibly well and came close to coming back in the first 2. The fatigue was really starting to kick in and it was obvious in both players when they were making more mistakes. So there is literally nothing wrong with calling it, and accepting his defeat.

@@jiemileng7745 every player is different indeed, but calling it soon is what set aparts the all time greats from the others, the win mentality like Okhalid in Rocket League or Max Verstappen in F1 are an example of that. I disagree with the "there is literally nothing wrong with that" but I can understand half of the rocket League players are just kids but most of the all time greats even as kids already had that win mentality, that fire inside them, laser concentration that it's only over when it's over.

@@celeb1775idk man, i never went pro but i’ve played games in 100+ ping. I just learnt to play with it and be unpredictable or simply, have better mechanics than my rank for more freedom of play. (Talking about esports games in general etc: valorant, csgo, dota2, rocketleague) I think its mostly what people are used to. I moved from potato pc 40fps to mid-high desktop 600fps and wifi upgrade from 5mbps to now 50mbps within the past month and the difference is straight up not comprehendible.. and its hard to play in 100+ ping low fps again
