If it was any other hashira apart from Gyomei who came to fight Kokushibo it would have been game over pretty soon. I know that Genya’s power was the key in defeating Kokushibo but they were able to survive until the very end to fight Muzan because of Stone Hashira. Or else it should have been two other Hashira who has full energy without a single fight before.
