After watching all your video clips on YuoTube, I was very impressed with your favorite rod Tobizo TC80-200G. 😍I don't like to buy a rod without feeling it, but that rod cannot be bought in Sweden, so I bought one from Germany! After all the film clips, it felt like I had it in my hand. I will travel to the Andaman Islands in April and fish big GT-s.... Awesome work, great how you explain what and how you plan your day on the water. Those Blue Tuskies sure are a unique predator, absolutely gorgeous looking fish, easy to see how sight casting for them is so addictive. And those GTs, definitely know your alive when one of those crunches your Popper, hit the hang on for a dirty fight! Off to PNG this year and going after those Big Black GTs, that most, have never seen a Popper or Stickbait, I can’t wait to get a brutal workout by one or hopefully more cranky beasts of the Bismarck Sea! Thanks mate, i think the sinpaa has a softer tip for working floating stickbaits. Where as the 84/100 is more of an all rounder like the 83/150 and 80/200 only lighter. (I think).

Great work, story and cinematography! Question to those who may know: Why does Brooksy, slam the rod/ fish multiple times really hard at the hook up, first time maybe to set the hook, but why jerk so strong many times? Is that to force it to turn around or strong hard jaws? Typically, I understand with many violent jerks like that hook can come out, so must be a more important reason? Thanks in advance.

Multiple hook sets. Thick gauge hooks and hard jaws mate

It's to drive the hook home. In the states the same technique is used on tarpon. As they have a very hard bone mouth.

Fishhead is only a short drive from Brisbane or gold coast airport mate. I suggest contacting Duncan before hand to arrange a time to go to the store beforehand though.
