Very timely I just downloaded Zen beats 3.0 recently onto my MacBook pro. I have the first Zen beats on my Alcatel joypad. Programmed some great songs there that need to be transferred onto 3.0. Thanks for the tutorial

Thank you for this last recent update which fix everything that took me away from using zenbeats as my main used daw for over a year , the memory issue or bug which used to take 80% of the memory space even on an empty new project, not giving me enough space for any auv3 sampler or sample player, which i did wrote zenbeats support about the issue over a year ago, and now on this new recent update the memory problem got completely fix, now an empty project starts at 0% of usage like it supposed to be and plus loaded all my old projects that used to take a lot of memory space and which i had the tracks freeze because they were projects that used to make zenbeats memory jump from 80% to 98 % with just a few instances of any sampler auv3, which i had to freeze the tracks to save memory and to help zenbeats from not getting statically once the memory reached 95% of only a few instances of a sampler playing samples, well i unfreeze all those tracks on this new recent update and everything is running perfectly smooth without taking much memory or cpu and without any cracklings. no problems at all when it comes to that issue very efficient on resource 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 also this last new recent update made zenbeats feel back to normal and not like a demo version, because before the new version features advertisement link was every where that i had to pressed on zenbeats but that’s not the case anymore so thank you for that too 🙏🏼 which it now motivate me to buy the new features and get back to fully produce in zenbeats like it used to enjoyed doing before the past updates that took me away from using zenbeats for over a year, again thank you for this new recent update which runs smooth as a brand new car 🙏🏼

When recording audio to a loop in loopbuilder mode, is it possible to set it to stop recording after a certain number of bars? In practice I've found it very difficult to get the clips to sync up correctly when recording a new clip to an existing scene (like you show in the "recording synths" section of this video).

Yes. Tap the grid settings up in the transport. Here set the number of bars you want as a default for Loop Pattern Size (Instrument MIDI tracks) or Launch Beat (ZR1 Drum Samplers). Next tap an empty cell on loopbuilder area for the track you want to record. Here tap the + icon or Add button. Now recording into that blank loop it will be the default size that you set. @@rolandzenbeats And that should work for recording audio as well? I can get it to work for MIDI instruments but not audio. The audio just keeps recording until I stop it.

@@rolandzenbeats I got it partly working with recording audio. The critical part I was missing was to click "Add Empty Pattern" so that it adds an empty pattern. Then if I record audio it uses the correct cell length. The only problem is that it continuously loops recording and each take overwrites the previous take. I'd like it to stop recording when it reaches the end of the cell and then just play the recording in a loop.

@@rolandzenbeats I got a bit closer to a solution. I realized that as it's loop recording into the cell, it's not actually overwriting the previous loop. It's creating "regions", similar to takes. So that's really great. What I would love is the option to have it automatically stop recording at the end of the cell and then just play the cell.

I'm using AKAI MPK Mini MK3 with Zenbeats on both Macbook and iPad Pro. Any USB midi controller should work fine.

Sounds amazing. A few questions. I only want to use my android for the creative process, so how can I get this to be mixed ( are there roland products allowing multiple outputs, as it appears in the video). If so, what is the maximum amount of outputs ? Does the android ( again) version have the ability to receive midi say via a midi keyboard ? Can the audio recording sample down to 12 bits ( I reckon such option will get the attention of boop bap crowd)

Is there any way to record midi note sequences longer than two bars? I can't for the life of me find how to do that. It seems if I try to just record to a track, thats a no can do. It will only record if I create a blank clip to record into however but I cannot find how to make the clip longer than 2 bars. Stretching the sides just loops the 2 bars.

Yes, try adjusting the grid options. So if you’re looking at zenbeats and have your song opened up. Look for the grid icon along the top center of the transport (area with play/stop buttons). Then adjust your launch beat and pattern size to whatever you want. Try new pattern size at maybe 4 or 8 bars. Then it will be set for next patterns that you create. @@rolandzenbeats Thank you so much, I had pretty much thrown in the towel on Zenbeats, too much is hidden and not explaind in the documentation. Not being able to adjust the clip size would have been a deal breaker. I use Ableton and Maschine, so I have no need for Zenbeats, but its fun to try and use new set ups. I'll give Zenbeats another go, thanks again!

I had bought the stargaze loop soundpack (I accidentally bought it not knowing it was a loop pack) And would love to put it some loops in a DRUMKIT and samplerverse, as well as a chopping feature like how you can do in the drum instrument. I was wondering if you guys can make these features possible. And I’m using an iPhone for my ZENBEATS creativity

IDK why but I can't get it to adjust my beats so they are perfect (like yours....getting rid of human error) as mine is not automatically doing that like yours. For the record I'm using my mouse and not a touch screen.

@rolandzenbeats Hi 👋 Thank you. I believe it is due to the OS not being 64gig. It's a shame Zenbeats does not have a sample player (rompler) as that would suffice. I think it would also benefit massively with a stereo tool to adjust phase issues and allow to shrink or widen a signal, too. A phaser would be applicable as well. But so far, i can produce some good tracks with it. Cheers ✌️

Why are some of the Zenbeats videos show in normal format like this, and some are in Mobile Phone format, I have disliked the mobile phone formats as they are harder to watch

It is very interesting why it is impossible to record from keyboards built into plug-ins. For example, the same Animoog Z with a cool keyboard and you can't record from it in Zenbeats. I also tried using midi effects (Atom 2). Does not record. And the midi effects themselves break down. In general, the impression is certainly not very good. And it's inconvenient that you can't move the windows. I hope everything will be more convenient and stable in the future.

Seriously? I just downloaded Zenbeats and am about to sign up for Roland Cloud ($29.99/year) because it says this unlocks AUv3 plugin use… but if you can’t record 3rd party instruments, what’s the point? Is this just a bug…. I hope…

Zenbeats sucks on a moto !!!smh made mad beats on iphone and straight also certified for a roland xp 80 since 2000!It crashes on this phone but works great on iphone 7!😢made my first platinum hit in 2000 in college with an xp 80 this software crashes on a new Motorola phone.....
