I am 60 yo. This vest reminded me of some quilted lined pants and jacket I wore as a very young child. The outer part was made of blue corduroy. The lining was from an old coat but the inner lining instead of batting was from old towels. I hated costs but that outfit could play in the snow with. I had matching hat too. I loved the corduroy because it had puppies and kits on it. It was so well made and maintained about 20 years ago I saw an old friend of my mother's grandchild was wearing it as play clothes. It had failed and had patches on the knees and elbows. You could barely make out the print. I did a double take until the woman said my mother had sewn I it still had her tag on it.
