With all of the added fairings and gap seals for finishing touches, it sure looks like a show plane quality build. Masterful workmanship!

In ZA-3 I see an L-Angle across the aft two holes of the pulley mounts for the top pulley with the L pointed skyward. Looks like it would currently be in conflict with your C75R3-9 for the lower vertical stab skin. There also seems to be an L-Angle across the forward two holes of the pulley mounts for the other pulley inside the fuselage. It's hard to see in the plans. Beautiful aircraft. Wish I could build as clean as you. Thanks for the tips along the way.

@@KitplaneEnthusiast Just wanted to make sure you had the proper bracing on those pulleys. See it in your December 27-28, 2016 pics.

Really nice and very clean. Do I smell a Lindy of some sort coming up at Oshkosh this year? I tried my best to spot any kind of flaw in the finish, and I failed. Beautiful craftsmanship!!

I would like to make the same kind of fairings for my 701. How did you did them . Is it fiberglass ?

Hi Mark, I'm hopeful you can answer a question for me...it's on the reinforcement bracket for the up elevator stop. Do you know if the STOL has the same stop? I know your buddy is building a STOL and I'm about to button up my stabilizer, and, would like to get those supports done on the inside...I don't have the full kit yet so it's tough to see. The plane looks awesome and I'm starting to build my paint booth. See you up there someday!

Barry Meunier Sorry I do not know, but if you have the plans you should be able to see if there’s an up stop.
@ericwilde38375 жыл бұрын
would your elevator up stop still work if you put it in sideways and riveted it to the parallel L beams?
@ZIX12315 жыл бұрын
Beautiful work for sure!!! Is there a tensioner to keep the cable from bouncing off any of the pulleys (and getting stuck between the bracket and the pulley)??

I just rewatched......missed the cotter pin on the first view! Can't wait to see this baby when she's all done!!!!!!

You rivetted the fairing to the VStab? You are going to have to drill out all those rivets when you have to replace the pulleys (or the cable) ....

Why did your cable rub? Did you modify some part of your kit away from the original design?

I wasn’t sure if it was a design flaw and something unique to your airplane.
