I have to give props to ZZZ. The whiplash in tone between each of Cesar’s videos is something else, but I think they show how not one dimensional her character is. I love how a lot of the characters especially the sons of calydon are deeper than they 1st appear.

Caesar has easily had the most diverse promotion of any character in ZZZ so far and she’s all the better for it. Rather than being just a badass biker gang leader, she also is her own person with interests and hobbies you wouldn’t expect from the archetype. It makes me really excited to see what we’ll learn about Burnice from her Demo, Teaser, and whatever else.

This is soooooo cute, because it has two meanings. The first, is that Caesar likes romance novels/films and girly stuff like that, but she can't admit it because she's supposed to be "strong" and a "leader", so she feels like she can't really get in touch of that side of herself. She also pictures herself in the place of the character, because she desires that kind of situation / lifestyle, but she knows that she can't really have it (or rather, she's made up her mind that that's the path that just isn't for her or in the cards). Similar to her demo/trailer where she's talking to Big Daddy at the beginning before she finds the Piano, she laments that where she lives, and thus, her life, is just a boring and meaningless thing, hence why she asks in almost despair, of why life is like this for them. She later comes to appreciate her life after Lucy shows her the Piano and discovers that there's something worth fighting for and restoring, that there's a beauty to the Outer Ring. It's not a lost cause or hopeless, thus, leading her to want to become Overlord and facilitate that very change and growth...and therefore, locking her out of the romance and love that she seeks or desires, finding it to be a delusion (at least, that's what she thinks in her mind, that she can't have both, so needs to choose one).

Couldn’t have said it better myself! In line with what you’re saying, I could also see her wanting to make the changes as Overlord necessary for girls of future generations to be able to someday have lives like the one she yearned for as a kid.

I believe that lucy's little piggies aren't bangboos but actually boar thiren. They talk about it in the chapter 4 mission when you face the cat lady as burnice.

I enjoy that you actually provide insightful commentary that isn't so easy to find on YT lately. Please keep it up. ZZZ is this weird mix of bouncy fanservice, an appreciation for music, that doesn't quite take itself too seriously. I like that it doesn't seem too afraid to have fun with its audience and dances across a pretty wide spectrum of styles.

Thanks! I like to think I always try to find as much meaning in what I’m watching as I can when doing a reaction, even if it seemingly is very simple or straightforward. I’ve really been enjoying how much variety there is to the styles ZZZ uses. Every time I think I know what they’re gonna do with a character, something like this releases and surprises me in the best way possible.

As per the manga cover Caesar's reading, the mc has a red orangy hair color. But while Caesar was daydreaming or self inserting as the female protagonist, it is safe to say that she thinking of Wise as the male character because a gray colored hair appeared in the mv. And I'm assuming that this scene happened after the tour inferno tho this probably had nothing to do with the story.

If it really is supposed to be Wise, I’m curious if it is meant to specifically be Wise or if it is more generally representing the Proxy and therefore could also be Belle. I wonder if they’ll hint towards this potential romance ever again. It would be a very unexpected way to take Caesar’s character but could be interesting.

@@SylvanGilmour idk man. If ZZZ make this a real thing. I mean, a romance between Caesar and Wise there's gonna be a war between shippers so ZZZ will do this kind of thing just for a tease. But yeah, I really want to see some real romance stuff in the game tbh. It will be more interesting and fun. Anyway, from Elen's story to Caesar's story, in terms of romance, Caesar x Wise has more substance than the others. Not even close but then again, it's just me. We have different opinions and preferences after all.

If anything to now with how the Devs do npc in the game and the teaser they are not afraid to take it and show you how the character works, how they have their own life and its progress and even thou promotional material is diff it shows that they will bait you with every video demo/teaser but then goes real or emo or sweet like this. The story is not about the world etc its about the character. They are characters and have diff interest and life it make sense. It is good

Right at the end (at the "To be comtinued"), it shows 2 human hands holding the book. Not sure if this is an error, or if it's implying that Caesar daydreams of not having her prosthetic? I don't really buy the whole "the guy is Wise" thing, b/c lots of the parts are in greyscale (like a manga panel).

That is an interesting detail I hadn’t noticed. Though it probably is just an error, I do like the idea of Caesar wishing she still had her arm to some degree.

I really wonder if the male is also supposed to be her inserting Wise into the story, since the male's hair looks just like Wise's through the whole thing lol. Hard to tell though since Wise has such a generic hairstyle and hair color. Would be sick if it was him tho

there’s a war in the comments under the original video about whether or not she’s not only self-inserting there, but also imagining Wise as a male love interest or it’s supposed to be just a regular no name boy and Wise is just too generic to fit the description 😂

As @remchwan mentioned in their comment, it is possible for it to be Wise cause the male lead in the manga has red hair on the cover, but while Caesar is self-inserting, they have grey hair. I personally doubt that the devs will actually ever introduce a romance subplot for Caesar and Wise but wouldn’t be against it if they did. Much more likely the devs behind this video knew what they were doing and intentionally are hinting at it just to rile up the shippers, or as you say the male love interest and Wise may just be that generic to be mistaken for each other.

@@SylvanGilmour …also about the hair - there’s a segment “in color” where you can see Caesar having her regular green hair, and the male love interest having gray, although on the cover of the manga, as you said, his hair is red. This is the biggest factor to why many people believe she’s imagining Wise as a love interest 👌🏻☕️
