My interpretation is that this game uses the "Adventure guild" kind of concept that you'd typically see in fantasy settings where people organize themselves into parties and take on commissions issued by a company known as the "Adventure guild"(Odd-Job agency in this case). The difference is that this is a post-apocalyptic setting rather than a fantasy one

I liked Genshin Impact initially, but somehow it just ended up feeling really hollow. Just running around, killing the same enemies... idk. There was no plotline or activity that really pulled me forward, it all just felt very... casual, but grindy. I really hope this one will keep the player a little more invested and excited. At least the style is absolutely oozing out of these trailers and immediately caught my eye during Summer Game Fest.

@@HikariSakai I'll simply quote the last paragraph on Hoyoverse's press release statement regarding this game's announcemt from their site: "Besides the engaging story, this 3D anime-style title features a fluid, cinematic action-oriented combat system. While fighting Ethereal, players can take control of different characters to unleash electrifying skills and unlimited QTE combos. The game has also developed a Roguelike gameplay mechanism that awaits exploration." Probably a step up from the combat style found in Honkai Impact 3rd rather than Genshin's combat style (though that remains to be seen if there's more combat options explored in Genshin present in actual gameplay) given the mention of QTEs as part of combat mechanics. There is a roguelike (think: Hades) mode in HI3 with a story (Elysian Realm) and if memory serves me right that one Shiki Taishou event from Genshin's 2.2 update featured a domain with roguelike mechanics. Probably best to wait and see gameplay footage once it surfaces to see how it'll play out :>

I'm really fascinated. It was not at all what I expected, it exceeded absolutely all expectations! The characters are so diverse and even through the trailer, everyone feels their own personality. The whole concept together with the world looks very alive, it's like I watched a cartoon and I liked it. Bruh, Zenless looks like if Jet Set Radio, Splatoon, Honkai and Guilty Gear fused together in a beautiful roguelike. The animation especially looks eerily similar to GG: Strive which just YES. I pray the rougelike aspect makes this Hoyoverse's most punishing yet rewarding game yet.

About the graphics part I doubt, aside the world building, even if Hoyo is a billion dollars company and could do wonders, it chooses the bare minimum, because they know it will still get them a lot of cash. If you look closely, the details on the clothes and the muscles aren't 3d, but drawn. I don't think I would be difficult for company with this much money to make 3d details, that's low effort anime characters. The grapichs are decent, not good, not bad

Something interesting: When we see the girl main character (the girl with blue hair who show up at 0:21) ,we can see there are three words , "亓" "才" "孑" on her clothes. They may look like Japanese word, but in fact, they are all Chinese word."亓" is a family name."才" looks like "オ" in japanese,but it is truly a Chinese word."孑" is a Chinese word which means "alone" or "mosquito larva" or "tiny" or "halberd".And 亓 's pronunciation is qí , 才 is caí , 孑 is jíe Mihoyo is a Chinese company,I'm so happy to see that they try to use Chinese words in their Fashion Design(I don't know some words in English so i translate them by Google translate).This is a special progress,as their players in china says "Mihoyo always change our fetish in silence." They always give their players a surprise.

Hooked me with the music (which i loved) sold me with the artwork. then hyped me with the animations. the game became a must have when the neko girl moved like a cat getting ready to pounce. That was an amazing level of detail i wasnt expecting. I love the whole theme too. it's like a modern day jet set radio future! And i played that game to death! now to be sad while i wait for it to come out.
