Unironically I think the thing I'm most looking forward to is the selfie mode and new camera functions lmao. It's the little things. That and I am excited to get to control more agents in the future outside of the Hollows

I also enjoy the TV mode. there's definitely parts of it that needs polishing because the sudden zooms and stuff can hinder the pacing. However, most people i see hating the TV hate it for reasons that is outside of the game. It's mostly people expecting similar Open-world gameplay when the game literally presented itself as a very contained setting and the actually TV complements that because we (the proxy) are seeing the Hollows on a large collection of CRTs that you can actually see in the HDD room.

My thoughts exactly! In my case, I never had any expectations coming into ZZZ, as the only thing I knew about it at the time was that it was a Hoyo game and the flashy combat was dope af. Playing TV mode was a surprisingly fun mechanic for me, coming from games like Slay The Spire, Darkest Dungeon, and other roguelike dungeon crawlers. I would say the TV mode needs a bit more polish but I hate the fact that many just want it gone, outright. Like, sure, just give us another open world action gacha game... heck, change HSR into an open world action gacha game too while you're at it 🙄

@@statixfear It won't be gone outright. The dev mentioned how they like the TV mode. But they will be lessen in main story. Though many people don't like the TV because they just want open world (which i say is a bad take), some don't like TV because it can be jarring and flow breaking. Many don't mind the tv, they just believe that tv should not be use to replace exploration and story telling. This I agree. TV is a form of puzzle mechanic and I feel like it should be treated as such. They have done amazing tv puzzles and I think they should keep that, but tv section where you basically move from point a to b should be swapped to rally mode. It is all about finding the right balance.

@@yannlee7821 What I will say is that it shouldn't be relegated and isolated to just puzzle solving. I love traversal using the TV mode because it makes you actually think and plan out your route, especially when the corruption mechanic is in play. It adds a nice layer of strategy to the gameplay experience. I do agree that maybe not use TV mode during the main story quests, and utilize rally mode-style stages for those. But for everything else, keep TV mode in, and just refine it with more QoL and variety so that it won't feel too repetitive. What I will say is that I respect what Hoyo is trying to do. Almost every other big gacha game is trying to make some variation of an open world action RPG. HSR was turn-based, and even during the early launch window, there was a lot of noise from complainers that it's a "wasted game" because it's turn based and that it was "boring gameplay" with "lazy auto mode". Now Hoyo is trying something else that's different when they introduced the TV mode in ZZZ... too bad it's still getting flak from being innovative in the gacha space.

If you look in the staff only room above the HDD you'll actually see all the screens that the MC uses to navigate through the hollow. I found this really interesting. If you're in the middle of a mission you can pause and leave temporarily and the TVs are all on and the staff only door stays closed at all times. Really love all these little details.

I wish i didn't watch the official stream. The Wuwa community basically flooded the stream with toxicity and vulger remarks and kept spamming anything to insult anyone who had an interest in ZZZ. completely ruining it for me. As someone who likes to be part of a community and always comments and likes to be part of it. It was really unfortunate. I dont hate Wuwa as a game, but its community has made me completely discard that game for any hope of healthy competition.

I watched this yesterday, and I was wondering. The only time where the TV gameplay is annoying is when I played one of the exploration missions about a Gold Bangboo, and it was very tedious and I was tired after spending an hour in it trying to 100% the whole thing. But otherwise, I kinda like the TV segments.

Quick question, but would you ever play honkai impact 3rd? It was the first main game from hoyoverse and I absolutely loved the game, and I feel like you would hopefully have fun playing it.
