At first I thought this was just a normal update to optimize their system. But then I realized that my account with 700 sales and 5k likes is classified as standard. I contacted to many Redbubble artists. And the truth is that all high-selling successful artists are classified as standard. Even accounts with 2 designs are premium. You did not hear wrong. Redbubble steals money by making standard accounts of all its high-paying artists. They are stupid enough to think that this disgrace goes unnoticed. Today is the day that Redbubble was declared a fraudulent company. I invite everyone to announce this on all their social media accounts. They must pay for this disgrace.

I believe you're right. I started RB a few months ago, made one sale, got premium. I believe it's because they figured I'm not going to make money. My guess is, if I ever do, then I would be placed in standard.

This is BRILLIANT, thank you soooooo much. I can't take down my RB shop as I've invested so much time and work, but they have yet again taken down three of my designs for the same (unfounded) reason as last time. Wouldn't mind the extra fees if they used the $$$ to hire human beings who can tell a *real* copyright infringement! of which there are so MANY.

Hi Stax! I have left Redbubble and Teepublic as I consider them to be scammers without consideration of sellers and buyers. Redbubble produces poor quality, I have had customers who complained about quality and it became an embarrassing customer relationship. I was kicked out of both RB and TB without being told why. So unprofessional. If the cause had been specified I could have corrected my mistakes but I suspect it does not matter what I say. RB deleted me the day before payout in April. They took my money and it seems as they needed it...I am thinking of having my own website from now on. Have a nice day Stax and keep up the good work! I am looking forward to more of your videos. Greetings from Sweden and Thailand.

That is so awful, I am sorry to hear this! I do agree that if you have the time, energy and dedication, having your own website is a great option. Plus you can have an ongoing relationship with your customers (because you can actually see who is buying what). I wish you luck my friend!

@justagirl4663 I strongly feel there's no such thiongs as 'truye' passive income with POD, because even though you're nor dealing with customers on some platforms, you're still spending time, effort nd energy having to design, upload write descriptions, tag keywords, draw people in from social media sites, always keeping an eye out for latest trends and what's on the horizon, and the list goes on and on. That to me, is NOT 'passive income', not like renting out a house on AirBnb, and even that involves some amount of work.

They already reduced artist margins once with a fee increase causing me to adjust prices about a year ago and the day I received this same email 4/19/23 about two hours later right after an upload my account gets suspended/banned with no explanation. It was my third year and I had just over 4000 designs and sold as many items as I did the first two years combined that third year and was steadily growing but then the algorithm ( I assume ) suspended my account for unknown reasons and after an appeal there isn't much I can do to get it reinstated so I will never see a return on all my hard work not to mention the time it will take to scrub my social media and videos of any Redbubble links or content. What a nightmare. Anyway, thanks for the video and I will never be supporting Redbubble again.

@MarniD9esigns Жыл бұрын
Having just said I've sold more designs, RB has yet AGAIN erroneously banned me for those very designs, saying it's copyright infringement when they did this to me last year then apologised and reinstated me for THE SAME DESIGN, involving the city of Wrexham which apparently Ryan Reynolds now owns... NOT... I didn't do Wrexham FC, either, which *would* be copyright infringement. I wish there were a way to boycott them for these draconian practices, esp. with all the REAL copyright infringing designs they leave up

Also Mey that I follow on here closed her redbubble account about a year ago and said she would never open a new account againhowever she wanted to see if she opened a new account up that she would get into premium tier just to see what happened she uploaded 7 designs and I think she said on the 6 or 7th day here account was premium. She did this to test redbubble maybe everyone should close there account up and upload a new one to see what happens. But she also stated she followed the rules she did everything on the application before she uploaded any designs now her designs are good but not the best as she says she uploaded slowly on the platform. It took her about 3 days before she did her 5 designs and still the shop was not up. then on the 6-7 day uploaded 2 more and was classified premium. She did no marketing whatsoever as well.

The 3D print stuff is cool, but is it legal to sell those things? Or is 3D printing some IP grey area in the world of ecommerce?
@zenwatercooler Жыл бұрын
Yes that is a great question. My understanding as a regular schmoe who occasionally makes hobby stuff is that Marvel/DC don't really care about action figure customs, accessories, swords, shields, dioramas, etc. (because they don't make those items themselves). But things like t-shirts and coffee mugs, they DO care about those because they infringe on their already-existing products. So I agree, it might be technically illegal to make a He-Man custom sword and sell it as a "He-Man" sword (because He-Man is owned by Mattel), but I've never seen Mattel, Marvel or DC ever say that they care about the hobby custom stuff.
@zinnie6420 Жыл бұрын
@@zenwatercooler Thanks for the feed back, Zen. Sounds awesome! I want a 3D printer mainly so I can make custom Lego pieces for myself, but its always good to think about ways to monetize different things we get a kick out of. I guess at the moment, this type of hustle is in a similar commercial territory as Marvel/DC tattoos or cake designs: being that it's not something that is meant for a mass production operation (yet), so the big guns probably don't consider it a threat. I wonder what the world of ecommerce will look like if things like AI, 3D printing, the metaverse and the like become the convention. I bet you'll be on top of it. Well, here's to the Brave New Future, Zen!

They don't have any respect for artists, I was with them around 5 years, built up around 400 followers and had just started getting some decent sales when they suspended me, I never copied or made any copywrite artwork, I believe the suspension was because of a purge where thousands of artists were just thrown away to save on server costs.
