It sounds strange but in certain cases you can put reverb on your kick as long as its really short and not too long. Thatll help make it a little fuller and not so dead EDIT: And by reverb i mean a very short room reverb used on an aux with some 300 hz cut out of it
@ZenWorld
@ZenWorld 3 жыл бұрын
Dat Edit Clutch but I agree to an extent my man. I have heard good kicks made by some sound designers with a room verb that sounded decent

Good vid, tho when explaining the HG-2 you got the triode and pentode mixed up. Triode is the one that sounds gentle (even harmonics).

what are way you can add mid lows? Your tutorials are the best
@ZenWorld
@ZenWorld 3 жыл бұрын
Hey friend! Couple of ways 1. layer your bass with a middle heavy one. You can EQ out lows on this one so it doesn’t fight with main bass. 2. Saturation! If you got a friendly bass to push you can saturate and bring out midlows. 3. Check for any mistakes you mightve made in your track mixing like removing too much midlow

It is called an orch hit aka orchestra hit/stab. It usually a lot of layered string sounds playing a note/chord w a strong attack. Or they can be made from sampling orchestral music. They are good for giving a bit of old school vibe since they were used a lot in the 80s and 90s as a lot of samplers of the time came with them loaded as a default sound.
