If you are a fellow PC User, you can also use audacity and change the input to Windows WASAPI,and it will record your audio without any extra steps... And if you are a FL user like me, just use newtime to stretch and time the acapella :)

If you are on windows there is a software called voicemeeter by Vb-Audio (Yes, that is how it is spelt) that does the same as this. It is donationware so it is free but welcomes donations.

perfect, I like your channel very much. I have been looking for some time for tips on how to get the voice in the style of radioslaves track Grindhouse. Unfortunately it is not as easy to build as it sounds in the first moment. Maybe you can do something in that direction.

how do you keep the vocal in key with your track
@miscellaneous1276
@miscellaneous1276 4 жыл бұрын
You can test the key By Just Playing a note on some sound at the same time until You find the note and then you can always clearly hear if its in minor or major. Then if its on major and your track is in minor but the Vocal on the same note first and then put it 4 semitones up.

How do you know / how can you get a vocal in time with a beat, I have never been able to understand this despite people trying to explain it to me numerous ways!
@ryanseymen
@ryanseymen 4 жыл бұрын
Make sure the vocal you've found that you're going to use is warped to the original bpm(not the project bpm necessarily) found this helps a lot instead of letting ableton warp it to your track bpm.

@jonathonleetoas4642 4 жыл бұрын
@@ryanseymen Yer I get that I mean how the vocal 'lands' on the beat, like what should you be listening for in the vocal to land on the kick / snare or click track
@ryanseymen
@ryanseymen 4 жыл бұрын
@@jonathonleetoas4642 Usually when you've got a chopped vocal and its been tempod right the start of every 4 bars should be the part punching with the drums for example like zen has the 'Get' punching with the kick and the 'floor' ending the 4bar as its the most profound part of the vocal it rhythmically sounds right. Each sample you use is going to be unique. You want something that's catchy, usually i try imagine when listening to a sample moving my head to the 4 bar kick you have going, this will kind of draw the pattern of the vocal that you'll need if you will that will move fluidly and flow with your track. Kinda hard one to explain lol

I don’t really wanna be a smart ass over here, but you don’t really have to go through this way, you could just download an acappella, you’ve made it so complicated. P.S no hate!!!
@jonathonleetoas4642
@jonathonleetoas4642 4 жыл бұрын
I suppose using this method allows people to sample any vocals they want such as movie dialogue and spoken word that may not be downloadable as opposed to just acapellas.
