A big part of playing Dahlia is knowing when to use your SHOTS! In this video, I cover some basic combos that incorporate SHOTS using Death Pendulum, Empower, and Door Mat. These three moves are very good for general use and can be used for all variants in the game. The best part about this moveset is they are all BB1, which means they charge really fast, allowing you to rinse and repeat the combos very easily!

Honestly I think her best combos come from using doormat and THEN using empower since it still allows restand after you “end” the combo with doormat, she’s insanely strong too, she has a LOT of damage potential in any variant

Either works! I think it depends on whether you want to get the Curse first, or get more damage out of the Armor Break. Should probably mention its flexibility, but muscle memory kinda stuck to using Empower first heh

I just started Skullgirls recently and am a Beginner I use a combo that's a bit different than the first one taught in the video My usual combo is Ground combo, Launcher, Air juggle, Shoot, Death Pendulum, Shoot (then Shoot Laser if available, If in the corner then you can also shoot the Shotgun one)

Easy one is ground combo - up shot- dash attack shot - reset -ground - buckshot- dash attack- shot to pendulum to shot. Works on light and medium

My Man ZeoW with the Dahlia video. Fun Fact : you can use Death Pendulum to actually make the Stage Hazard Barrell to go backwards towards yourself and use it to extend the damage or to keep the opponent away. Also Parting Gift does not light up the oil even if it it's on top of it (but Buckshot & Flameshots can do it) and parting gift is useful since it works like Parasoul's Sniper Shot so you can trigger it airborne and since it's times you can detonate it at any time so you can keep it on the opponent for extra pressure or mind games

Only thing I dislike is that I have no clue what to do after attaching it to the opponent, it doesn’t count as a hit so I can’t combo out of it, and it doesn’t push me away from the opponent like mousetrap does, it just leaves me with frame disadvantage…

My dahlia combo: Dash atk 1+ ground comb+shot+launch+air comb+shot+dash atk+door mat+empower and the first combo in the video

You can actually extend that combo/(this works well with Dame slayer with max shots but its your choice); Dash atk 1+ ground combo+ shot+launch+ air combo+ shot+ dash atk 1 again+ tap 2 times(slap combo)+door mat+pendulum+ lightning shot+ dash atk+ tap 2 times again+empower+ first combo of the vid. It looks complex but its not that much when you try it in game(dunno if this a red combo too tired to try)

Honestly I've been playing for a long time and I didn't understand anything about the game, I just mashed attacks and stuff, decided to get into the game for real with a brand new account and I've found it way easier to do stuff thanks to your videos mainly. (I never used chat so I just enhanced and used whatever looked cool)

I'm sure you've learned it already but you can full ground combo, full air, shoot, dash in, hit twice, empower, and then full combo again (ground and air). If you have ice shot, you can freeze them mid-air for a third combo loop. She's a menace.

how do you proc thorns? i started a few days ago and i can't figure out how to bounce the opponent off the wall. i combo them i to the wall, grab them into wall, shot, it doesnt proc it. am i doing something wrong?

Her combos and gameplay is most complex for me. Annie? No problem. Umbrella? Gotcha. Black Dahlia is confusing.

It's her timing, most of her moves doesn't link that easily which tends to make one drop the combo

That's completely fine since not everyone is the same. I really hate playing against and playing Ms. Fortune because brain hurty while playing her and her reach is really far. But my sibling absolutely loves her. It's not wrong to be different, it's wrong to make fun of someone different.
