ZepLabs: Wooden iPhone Case

Been a while since I 've done some woodworking. So I made an Iphone case! Out of a piece of beautiful spalted beech that used to be firewood. Engraved a logo on the 20$ CNC and there, done!

Nicely done! Using a single piece of wood is the best way to make a durable smartphone case. This is what I plan to do as well. I might try oak to allow a thinner case to fit into my pocket.

Tha Kwame that's a custom (and very cheap! ) cnc that I made and a laser diode salvaged from a DVR-RW drive. I have videos on those too!

Hey Kelly! And sorry for the late reply.. It is oil. You can use linseed or whatever.. In this case I believe it was raw olive oil. Just make sure to seal it some way, cause raw can go ransid and have a nasty smell with time!

Thank you for using actual hand tools. I get so mad when I see "woodworkers" use CNC machines or laser cutters when they build stuff. Using those metrics, I could print a photo with my inkjet printer and call it a drawing.
