THe very best version of this song that I think ive ever heard came from a totally unexpected band. Back in the late 90s early 2000s I was doing tape trading with various people around the globe that were all recording concerts live . This was way before you had anything you could dream of via KZbin. In had done a trade with a guy from Germany and he included a tape of a Skew Siskin concert from Munich from around 1999 ? . Among their other songs was a medley that was just off the charts . Its was Voodoo child into Im a Man {Spencer Davis Group } into Whole Lotta Love and then back out through the beginning tunes. She was using the most insane echo/reverb that just worked so well with her voice but the other players were also crazy good on this tape. . It was only an audio tape and I really wish I had the video . Nothing like it !

Instead of using a theremin, Gretchen used a sliding pick technique along with the echo. Nice way to deal with that without dragging along a theremin for one tune.
