Another blast from the past! 🤘Caught this tour on June 17 at the Capital Center in Largo, MD. I had that same shirt and still have my tour book. Likewise, this was also the last time I saw them live until many years later when they toured with Deep Purple (think it was on Redeemer of Souls tour). Cheers VK! 🍻

Very cool you have the program. I didn't start buying programs till later and even some of them I sold in the great purge. I look back and wonder why I did see the '86 or '88 tours I would see them in 1990 again on Painkiller. thanks for watching !!!

yeahh! Hahahaha I love the HS pic! No way! Great White's debut is my favorite GW album. RIP Jack Russell~~ Man, I was 9 in '84 but I still haven't seen the mighty priest live yet. However, I've stuck with them and have all the Halford albums on vinyl. Cheers VeeeKaaay!

Ahh hah! This is the one you were just tellin' me about! 77 Gutless Cutlas! I love Oldsmobile. I had two 1969 Olds 442's. I saw Priest with Maiden for the screaming for vengeance tour but missed the Defenders tour :( I got in trouble and was grounded LOL. I never thought of the Metallian as a beefed up Tarkis but damn your right! Hahahaha. Fun vid VK. Thanks brother \,,/(>.

Always liked this band's early albums. But I lost touch with them right around the time of this tour. I think Vengeance was the last album that I bought. Good to see you again BB VK. The last time I saw the original band live was at Live Aid 1985 in Philly. You cannot go wrong for $12.50. I know Page/Plant played Rosemont. But I do not think that the Blimp ever played there. Just think. You saw Priest just five years after In Through the Out Door was released. This show was forty years ago. Man. Where did the time go? Way to go VK~ Rob/Boston

BB Rob !! No the Rosemont Horizon was built in 1980 so the Blimp never played there and the 1980 shows were booked at the Staduim and we know what happened about those shows. Priest does not get brought up about being they only metal band at live with Black Sabbath. Very cool you were there I really wanted to go. thanks for always dropping by and commenting my friend !!!

Hey Chris !!! Thanks man !! I really appreciate that you like these. Trust me I spend days try to put these together and even have to ask friends if they went with me. Some are fuzzy more that others. Scorpions were huge in 1984. I did a video on that show check it out if you like . Thanks for watching !!! kzbin.info/www/bejne/r3vRfI2retV_mrM

Defenders Of The Faith! Fuck yeah Vance! I just can't wrap my head around the fact I (we) partied to this album 40 years ago...and as you alluded to, continued for many years after. Two of the best back to back lp's by anyone of the 80's imho! It was always the coolest when the ladies were digging metal we liked as well! And I don't mean just the ballads (those didn't move the meter much for me...but if she liked them I could definitely tolerate it for a while lol 😊😁) and hair metal/glam stuff that was just beginning around that era. I mean, of course ballads and glam had been around for years, but not as much in metal and hard rock as it became in the 80's. I too took a pass on the Turbo release at the time, although I don't mind it as much now, but it has nothing on the prior two albums and, further back of course. Great video Zep! Really relatable for me man. I enjoyed the stories almost like they were mine man! What a time to be a teenager eh?!! Lol! Cheers bud! 🍻✌️🤘🎶🤘

Hey Mark, its great to hear that this brought up memories for you that's why i do this to share those with you and others. It was a great time to be a teen and just getting into music so deep back then. I was all over the map as you could tell in what I liked. Yea the glam/hair band scene brought in the ladies for sure. I too dropped out a little for Turbo I did not pick it up until very much later and still not a got to when in a Priest mood. I should give it another chance though. I was all back in when Painkiller came out will do a video on that but it will be a while before I get to 1990. Thanks for watching and sharing your comment it means a lot more than views and subs to me. Thanks brother !!
