I have been apart of the beatbox community for a long time and love how beatbox has been getting more mainstream attention recently. I would recommend watching some battles and not just compilations. In real battles, you get to see both people and counters to the opponent's beats. I would highly recommend Codfish 2018 GBB, a great place to start!

What specifically brought my attention was Dlow's inward bass which reminds me of death metal growls (which I listen to) so I checked him out and got blown away. I've watched many of his battles, I've watched other beatboxers as well but I don't think I'll just follow everything they all do (I'll stick with Dlow though😅). Josh should watch his SBX Kickback rounds, those are sick as well😁

Quick tip, that room shaking sound you were talking about is called "inward bass" and as the name suggests, it is a sounds that is made by breathing in. You can practice it by trying to talk while breathing in, just saying "hi" is enough to practice. Progressively try using less of the word "hi" and more of the rumble in your throat.
