That's the problem yaknow. KZbin has such shit policies if only they did real guns or did like SAS training the way Logan Paul did SEALS training. In other words, it would be pretty tough yaknow. I've heard in my country SSG did a 36 Mile walk in 12 hours in full gear (about 10-20 kg) and then a 5 mile run in 50 minutes in full gear.

the self-heating bag is actually a banger, in the Finnish army, we had to first boil the water before adding it to the meal bag and then still had to wait for like 15 minutes and sometimes you just didnt have the time so you couldnt eat

The hot packs work as an exothermic reaction. There’s most likely salt-like reactants in the packet, so as you add water they react, and when more energy is released than initially having been taken in, there is essentially a surplus of energy which is given off in the form of thermal energy/heat.

@@rileywilliams6883 as far as I know, it can work with any salt, which is just a neutral compound. So there is no specific chemicals that do it. There might be one specific one that all hotpacks use, but idk what it is

@@farhantheboss5544 The US ones use Magnesium Powder, Salt, and a little bit of Iron dust in the little packet inside of the heater. When the water reacts with the magnesium and salt it creates the exothermic reaction you mentioned. I would assume it's something similar for other MRE's, but I could be wrong.

The big thing is these are complete meals, so they get all the calories and nutrients they need. Really it’s pretty amazing what they have managed to do, a hot meal that will get you exactly enough to get you to the next meal. Plus so many drink choices is nice too. Also Chili con carne is notoriously delicious in these meals lmao (I’ve never had that brand but in the ones I’ve had), probably would’ve been the best one.

Wasn't in the army, was in the cadets though and we used them, the con carne was one of the meals that was largely hit, was depending on how you felt tbh but the rations we got were so good, the biscuits have different colours with different things that happened to you, pretty sure the green ones gave you the runs

British field rations are meant for one meal. You usually get three per day unless you are told otherwise. Other countries, like Denmark, have full day rations providing three meals and snacks 👍🏼

Omg yasss, so like its meant not for rationing because they are meant to eat like 4000 cal a day. So one pack would be filled with all this stuff and more. As they are losing lots of energy throughout the day. I mean they are going to war would be proper bad if they got hardly anything to eat while running everyday. The best thing gotta be the extra stuff you get with it all. Like when I got one once it had waterproof matches and water purifiers. They was like good ones. This was the last one that I checked for the UK RAF. IDK for the rest.
