Go has a rule about not hiding complexity. For example, it won't let you covert a slice of interface types to a slice of strings implicitly OR explicitly, because it involves creating a new slice and copying it over. It can be a bit of a pain to write the loop out manually, but personally I enjoy the explicit nature of Go code despite the verbosity.
