Zero Covid Policy in Tibet: Repression and Agony

As cases of Covid-19 rise in Tibet, Chinese authorities have resorted to inhumane prevention measures through the much touted 'Zero Covid Policy'. This campaign has however, brought forth more repression in the form of lockdowns, forced quarantine and lack of basic amenities for the masses, in stark contrast to what the Chinese government claim on official mediums and outlets that paint a picture of success over the pandemic.
Those who oppose the government, speak out against state policies and point out to injustices are more vulnerable to being targeted by the authorities under the garb of pandemic control measures, experts say.
