Hi Robert, You dont have to change your inverter at all. Get a battery like the old Tesla Powerwall or Franklin. Those can be installed with your existing solar inverter without any problem. The new Tesla Powerwall 3 wont work. The old Tesla Powewall is fine, though i dont think it has generator connectivity. I think you would be better off with the Franklin Battery. Best of Luck

Thanks for the video but Tesla pw3 is not expensive and you discount the modern panel diodes. Not sure this is a fair summary

Tesla Powerwall 3 is expensive if you compare against a system that does not require batteries. If you compare against solar and battery, then it is as you say, fairly reasonable. I did not talk about panel diodes in this video - thats too much detail for an abridged guide. Thanks for your feedback.
