I will definitely make a mistake in this question in examination hall but when u analyse this question closely it's like a surprise under a surprise, thanks for decoding different layers of a question...

Excellent explanation, this is what the difference between video course and study material, video course is something like spoon feeding and study material is something we have to imagine. Really a great job.

Excellent explanation, thanks a lot sir you cleared my whole concept in precise way also you taught us The proper thinking process. Even very great teachers with huge experience fail to explain in such logical way, they just give rules on how to find ZFM without telling how they arrived at it.

Sir Visually we can't say zero force on Member GC because external Load is acting along Link GC. Although it is not acting at Point G but the Load is acting along Link GC . Please Clear it , I think we can't get it Visually.
@ansumandhal88774 жыл бұрын
At joint c, the force P will be equalised by component of forces in FC qnd CH in y direction. While considering joint G, you can't consider forces acting on joint C( Obviously method of joint applies for a single joint at a time.) We move to point G for simplicity or else it will be hectic for us to ultimately come to a solution that GC is a zero force member because while considering joint C, there are a large number of unknown forces. So, it makes difficult to visualise. ➡ The force at G should be equal to force at C. So,we can intuitively understand it to be a zero force member.

GC directly carrying the force P, so how GC become zero force member
@jagadeeshmadugula56514 жыл бұрын
In the example at beginning if an external to force acting at point B then BD is a zero force member or not??

Bc & BD bhi zero hoga na ????
@lakshminarasimhanc32983 жыл бұрын
Just a doubt sir... FG FC HG HC are also zero force members from F and H point respectively as they are from same point F and H and no external forces respectively right ?

What about the horizontal component of reaction force at E. F(DE) = R(E)cos45 It will balance the force F(DE). SO, F(DE) not equal to zero. PLEASE CLEAR MY DOUBT.
@KrishnaYadav-ox7zz4 жыл бұрын
No bro R(E)cos45= F(DE)+ F(HE)cos45 And F(HE)sin45=R(E)sin45 Hence F(HE)=R(E) and F(DE)=0
@saitejaphanitina36044 жыл бұрын
Horizontal Component at E is F(DE) - HE(cos45) = - R(E)cos45, here HE(cos45) = R(E)cos45. So F(DE) = 0

Sir member AB nad BC also zero kindly check once...by collinear concept @joint c
@rameshrajbhattarai22882 жыл бұрын
But at joint c there is a external load is greater than 0 so summation fy becomes Tgc + p .so GC is not a zero force member. Right or not??
