Is it planned for this game to have graphics updated? It looks horible compared to Beyond All Reason and yet I understand they are on the same engine

It is being discussed but we don't have many volunteers working on assets right now. Zero-K is much older than BAR, and many volunteers showed to help upgrade from the old legacy game/mod BA(Balanced Annihilation) which basically had models looking like original Total Annihilation models. Likho was recently updated with a new model so small improvements happen every now and then, but it would take quite a lot of effort to get a comprehensive overhaul when most stuff is "good enough".
