Good to see ZTD got you interested in the series. I actually also went the "weird way" of ZTD first then 999 and VLR and it's definitely a surprisingly viable way to go about it, despite how wild it seems at first glance. As for the game being "bad" or "much worse than the other 2", that seems to be more of a loud minority opinion as far as I can tell. Most people I've seen liked it alot, just like the other games and it's not user-rated much worse than the other too either. The only area it's definitely alot worse is in terms of graphics, which are definitely by far the ugliest in the series. (999 is the prettiest, so the series got uglier as it progressed.) *The only people I've seen dislike* it were of 2 kinds. 1) *People who shipped Sigma and Phi* hard and then soured alot after the family reveal in this game, despite liking the game alot too before that. Those seem to be the ones who dislike this game the most. 2) Others who didn't like it, although not as much as the sunk shippers, were people who *weren't able to follow the story* and then said it doesn't make sense. Which is definitely more likely to happen with this story than with the other 2 because of Delta having the wildest plan out of all the Zeroes, aswell as the non-linear story segment approach. I've also heard multiple times from people that they liked the game better when they saw it the 2nd time around, which I think might be because the 2nd time around it's alot easier to follow the story and actually realize that, just like the other games, it actually does all add up at the end. The Zero Escape Series in general, like most complex mystery series, is definitely *worth rewatching/replaying* a second time to see how well it actually ties together, despite throwing people for wild loops and that seems to go double for ZTD.

They didn't mention the old blind deaf man enough. It's so irrelevant that you don't notice. One is likely to assume that a man in such an awful position wouldn't be dragged into this. They should have made off hand mentions of him two, maybe three more times. If that were the case, more people were likely to have figured out that big twist without it feeling like a cop out of some kind.

Thanks for the stream Tenma, I don't necessarily agree with people who say this game is bad. The visual style is certainly ugly and low budget. But in terms of plot and characters I always enjoyed ZTD. VLR is of course unmatched, but I don't like 999 any more than ZTD.
