Hey, for new Dark and Darker players coming after the steam release, gold is a crafted gear that becomes available through questing, usually 1 month into a wipe. The gear has been nerfed since this video was made and isn't as strong, but still looks the same. Just to help any confused people, the game does go through patches quite often. I love the voice over commentary because you have hindsight and can explain everything smoothly, whereas live commentary can just be a chaotic. Can definitely learn a lot more with voice over.

16:00 just a tip, you can crouch and hug the right side of the goblin archers to completely avoid their arrows, while melee attacking them. It works 99% of the time unless you have a big elevation difference.

I don't play the game and this is the first video of yours I've ever seen but the non-live commentary is done well and is probably the right way to go with anything like this that is educational. When I want to learn something about a game it can be very frustrating to have the person constantly pause and lose their train of thought while trying to explain something because they are actively having to consider their choices live, while a retrospective commentary can be much more consistent and easier for me as a listener to actually follow. The fact that I stayed long enough on a video for something I probably wont ever care about is testament it's self that you're not hard to listen to, I'm enjoying learning regardless if it's actually of any use to me.

Would love this type of gameplay, if it was only set in a world where these dungeons is out there in the world. So you can explore, then head back to a town/village or even have a adventure guild to make things even easier :D. Get quest etc etc

Love and respect, forward-backward is getting you hit a lot by pve. If you incorporate more strafe with your skill maybe not get hit for days 🤷‍♂️. If A and D key binds aren’t 100% comfy I use Q and E. Love the video idea 😊

if you crouch and hold the goblin archers left leg(so you would be to his right) you will not get hit by his shot ever, unless it was patched in the last week, if it was just ignore me :) nice video!!! wish ya the best!

If anyone else has a hard time with the goblin archers. They always aim for the head. I haven't played in a while, but you used to be able to strafe around them on their bow side and crouch, looking down before they shot, and most arrows would just miss

If I had to give a piece of advice it would be to try to incorporate some live commentary as we get to see your live reaction which is always better. Just a note for the comment on 15:20, the only capes that can roll above a base 3 of their stat is Will and Knowledge. None of the other capes can roll above 3. I don't know why it's that way, but it seems to be that way.

I have to say I do prefer live commentary instead of this as it otherwise it mainly feels a bit disconnected from what's happening emotion-wise. I feel it matters more what you thought at the time and you can still give your thoughts about an event shortly after. Completely understand why you need the extra focus but wanted to give my two cents :)

Splendid (Will), Radiant (Knowledge), and Watchman (Resourcefulness) cloaks can roll up to 5 on their static attribute. Tattered (Strength), Vigilant (Vigor), and Adventurer (Agility) cloaks can only roll up to 3 on their static attribute. But yeah it’s dumb that the static attributes are random despite the rarity, should 100% scale like other gear.
