Ready to see you do some work with that LP Brawler. Let's go

That was some masterfull yarr-harr fiddle-dee-dee with that convoy, i like. I bought this game 3 days ago, and i'm loving every minute of it that i play. It's like Mount&Blade but in space, and with space guns!

good fun; surprised to see how willing you are at the start to use heavily D-modded ships and then spend to restore them. I guess I understand since you are able to pilot them pretty well yourselves whereas for me it would be a pure waste of money since I can't pilot anything to save my life haha
@GrumpyThumperGaming2 жыл бұрын
Oh yeah, as long as a d-mod doesn't disable my ship, then I'll use it for a while until I can restore it.
@IcoKirov2 жыл бұрын
I tend to avoid dmodded ships until I get the skill to restore them overtime. Well not all, but if they have 3-5 dmods and some of them are bad, I usually avoid them, or store them in an abandoned station.
@vladildikan2 жыл бұрын
depending on the playthrough, I usually won't consider most d-modded ships. whenever I start a new game and find the Revenant class phase elite tender, though, I'll snap it up and head back to get it restored immediately. considering I like to do a lot of stealth, that thing has so much going for it. other than that I usually salvage for experience instead.

Ok so I missed it. How does having your transponder off help you in some fights and not others? I think I saw you turn it on when you have allies, but turn it off when taking out convoys. I took out my first convoy last night and now I'm a bit overloaded and need to sell. This video did help me make a plan on how to get rid off those goods effectively.
@GrumpyThumperGaming2 жыл бұрын
glad you got your first convoy! as far as the transponder goes, it's generally off when I'm hyperspace, exploring or trading with the pathers/pirates. Having it on at these times would draw unnecessary attention to yourself. Times when I keep it on is when I'm in colonized space (Hedgemony territory, Sindrian territory, etc) or if I want to assist someone in a fight.
@daanstrik42932 жыл бұрын
I know its 3 months late but: If you have allies fighting you need your transponder on so that your allies recognize you as an ally. If you have it turned off you can’t join the battle

You can just hold the S key to slow down ,works the same as Go dark in terms of speed
@ds2sofs2 жыл бұрын
Dude, there's no way he didn't know that already. He's going dark because it cuts your speed straight to 5 instead of gradually slowing down, it's like lowering the anchor versus hooking up the sails.

Don't know if you see this since it's been a while since this was posted but can you explain what you mean whith hullmods repeating? Will you keep seeing them until you buy them?
@GrumpyThumperGaming Жыл бұрын
yes. so if you don't learn them then there's a (very likely) chance that you'll see them again in other markets or in research stations/ruins.

@@GrumpyThumperGaming holy moly that was quick, thanks a lot man. Do the modspecs also have a scaling? Like the more you bought the better the ones you see get? If you understand what I am trying to say
@GrumpyThumperGaming Жыл бұрын
thanks, I try to answer questions as soon as possible. if I think I get what you're asking then no, hull mods are static. They are always the same values no matter what.
@Deppie_____ Жыл бұрын
@@GrumpyThumperGaming sorry for not being very clear. What I meant is; when I buy some modspecs, others will probably take it's space in the store right? Will the next "restock" have "better" modspecs? Because I see that the hullmods have a "common" tag in the refit screen, does that mean there are better types of hullmods?
@pop90952 жыл бұрын
Everyone has thier own style and I am not one to backseat game a guy, having said that it hurts my feels a bit watching you scrupulously get max profit from trades then spending your filthy lucre on refitting ships. This is mainly because industry skills not only offer amazing potential to save money/ earn more depending on how you look at it, Specifically the bulk transport, field repairs, containment procedures, and makeshift equipment. Having those 4, or whatever 4 you prefer allows access to the arguably best skilll in the game, namely hull restoration. I personally find it easy to suffer through some dmods for the first 5 level ups (I can never skip navigation as first pick). Sure you won't kill stuff as fast for the short term, but your accountant will appreciate your choices...and with the extra profit you can afford a mess of murderers to pilot the shiny newly dmod free ships you have in your fleet. Cheers, nice video.
@GrumpyThumperGaming2 жыл бұрын
ah nothing wrong with leaving commentary on my gameplay. everyone plays differently. I don't mind spending credits to repair smaller ships since I use them so often and the d mods can make them too inefficient (increased supply use, more fuel, bad flux, etc), but I would hesitate to fix up cruisers and capitals since those usually are the price of a new ship and their dmods are less impactful on performance.

I can't find any LP Brawles anywhere in my current playthru, I think I've been to all the systems and non are available. Is that RNG thing ?
@GrumpyThumperGaming2 жыл бұрын
If you have tried checking Epiphany and Chalcedon already and they don't have any, then worse case you can find LP blueprints through exploration and make them yourself.

i'm not 100% sure but i think you don't need to salvage the ship to get the weapons, if the weapon is shown on the ship in the salvage screen you get the weapon in the loot screen anyway, like i said, not 100% sure but i'm about 80 or so :P
@GrumpyThumperGaming2 жыл бұрын
We tried it on stream and you get the weapon the majority of the time, but not always, which is really annoying. So I just got into the habit of taking ships.

Very nice fight. +198% is nothing apparently :) I wonder why you don't take any exploration missions. Isn't that much faster money?
@GrumpyThumperGaming2 жыл бұрын
Exploration missions are good money, really good money actually. But two things: 1) I just prefer combat, and 2) Raiding earn me more. I was thinking of doing a pacifist challenge where I can't engage in battle. I think that would be interesting.
@vladildikan2 жыл бұрын
@@GrumpyThumperGaming I like that idea, I myself am attempting a playthrough relying almost entirely on stealth, so not pacifist but about 1 step removed. I'm not killing anything that has a reputation listing (don't wanna piss of their families you know), so even the remnant are safe. It's kinda funny how small you can get you're detection range and how high you can get your speed with the destroyer-size "Phase Elite Tender" and a bunch of Wayfarers and Shades.
