This is the first ZT that I saw and immediately had to have. I was shocked at the hate I found in reviews but have no regrets. Is a great design and I was lucky to find one new at a used price. Thanks for the review.

Got one comming in the mail. Got it for $269. I personally love the Bowie style blade and ka-bar style handle. Looks rugged and mean but also useful. I agree the holes in the blade towards the bolster is kinda dumb, but overall I think it's gonna serve me well as a work knife.

The wraparound scales are the most interesting aspect of the model. Don't care for it, unfortunately, for all the reasons you mentioned, and am more inclined to pass it up for just as useful lower cost blades. 👍🗡️

I like the dye job. I actually saw this one in a store I thought it would be larger. And I am with the masses why put all the holes in the blade just really no good reason. I wish ZT would go back to being ZT.

I see a lot of people saying it looks like an MTech. Personally I think it looks like a much higher quality version of what WE knife would make. I hope to have one eventually. It seems like my kind of knife after watching Living Survival baton the hell out of it

I “think” I see what the designer was going for, it kind of resembles a military issue Kabar with a modern flair. I’m guessing that’s the reasoning for the tan G10 handles. In regards to the small holes at the base of the blade, is it me or are they there to represent the five branches of the military (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard)?

Wow! I got my Micro Evo Typhoon bowie today and the blades are incredibly similar. I really like the look of this needless to say! Really nice dye job Peter! That color is a fantastic compliment to the knife.

Maybe 200 would do it for me. I like it but I wouldn’t pay more than I did for my 0562 or my 0393. I trust that it’s a good knife. Great review.

Love the dye job !! This totally looks like it should’ve been a fixed blade . Not a bad look though . Definitely too expensive for me though . The handle looks like it would be comfortable in hand . Thanks for the video !! Take care Peter .

How did you dye the g10 amd what colour did you use specifically, I love the new colour your handles got

They come off with 4 screws and I used racing red synthetic Rit Dye. It's an easy mod. If you go for it let them soak awhile.

At first I was also turned off. Maybe because the whole negativity made it sour for me. As you said, there is a designer behind it and it came out off his head. You don't have to like it. But it grew on me, because I'm a tacticool kind off guy 😎😂
