Thank you for the tour! What do you use for toothpaste? Sorry if I missed it in the tour. Also for floss do you have a compostable brand suggestion? I'm looking to make a switch. Thanks!

Sorry, yeah I didn't have a lot of time to talk about everything. I use a DIY toothpowder. You can check out this post which lists every single item line by line in the medicine cabinet www.goingzerowaste.com/blog/my-minimal-zero-waste-bathroom-tour

Hi! Thanks for letting us in :) I have a random question! I noticed that many american households have 2 curtains for their shower: one liner and one more decorative. I wonder why that is? Can't you get one that is both waterproof and nice? Is this common or is my idea that a lot of people do this wrong? Anyway, I'm just curious :) where I live, people simply put one curtain up.

Yes, I have two curtains. I've never thought about that before. They do make some that work as just one, but this is what I've had for a couple of years. There's a plastic liner on the inside to prevent the cloth curtain from getting moldy. You can wash the plastic liner to keep it nice. We wash ours and then air it out in the sun. Should hopefully last a long time!

So where do you get rid of empty glasses when you're done with them? And the toothbrushes as well?

For make up removal, do you use reusable wipes? If you do, do you have a problem getting them to look clean after a wash, from mascara and eyeliner for example ?

I recommend getting black ones, because it definitely can leave a stain!

I don't really know the English term, but I use ox-gall soap/bile soap (in German: Gallseife) for any kinds of stains and before I throw my reusable pads into the washer I quickly wash them with that soap. That works for my reusable makeup pads AND my blood-stained washable period pads, a tiny soap lasts me a while and usually comes in cardboard. I have one non-vegan, highly effective one by Sonett and a vegan, plant-based one by Frosch that is almost as effective on blood but equally effective with makeup. I'd highly recommend, the soaps are great for any type of stain, the cardboard can be recycled and they don't take up much space. :) That's my way of keeping my unintelligently chosen white makeup and cream white period pads flawless.
