The real debate was taking place between Anthony Giddens and Ulruck Beck during the period mentioned here. It was the conclusions from their work that had a direct impact on poltics amd the lives we lived. Ideas like reflexive modernisation, risk society, structuration and even the third way.. Giddens sociology was taught in more schools than any other sociologist and he was even given a knighthood , while ppl like ulruch Beck and stuart Hall and were ingnored , sectioned out and ended up dead.
