I've finally found it! I heard this song in passing (immediately loved it) on an alt radio station in 2002.. only remembering the name of the song and the word zero in the band name. It turns out those are very google friendly search terms. Until now, I've had no success in the time's it's come back to mind and I've looked for it. Now to plumb the discography for more gold.
