This mechanic destroyed my Friday Night with my static. This video might save us during next time. Thanks!

@@booshalmighty Hey emm, its been quite a while, and we still haven't gotten 1 single clear.... I guess what doesn't help, is people who insist that they've done everything right.... but when asked if they watched any of the guides that I linked, or did the quiz that I put together, they say "no" ....... I'm organizing a smaller run tonight where hopefully we'll have more peace, and less yelling, so I'll be able to explain it to those who have problems

Are there mark coords for it that you could share?

Unfortunately not, I don't run the plugin that saves waymarks

I'm missing the distinction between first tethered to the left vs. first tethered to the right. People tend to place their meteors always in the same place, which sometimes makes it impossible for the second group to put every meteor. Otherwise, good guide.
@booshalmighty Жыл бұрын
The answer is almost always that that someone from the first group didn't stretch their tether far enough. If they don't then the person behind them often doesn't have enough space.
@SD-it5ko Жыл бұрын
@@booshalmighty Perhaps it is. But I found that if you're assigned to the far left/right, the pattern with the side gaps comes on and the first person is tethered to the opposite side, they usually block the space for the second person if they try to go into the "side gap". In in that case, there's isn't enough room for the second person to place their meteor. However, that first person can very well not go into the side gap and place their meteor a bit more to the middle - e.g. at 2:10 in front of the left red circle when tethered to the back right. Yes, also then the tether will stretch far enough to turn golden and the the second person can use the side gap, making it easy for both.

@@SD-it5ko So if I'm understanding correctly you mean something like this? cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/913961364702232587/1166740194880405634/Alternate_side_meteors.jpg This seems perfectly valid, although then I think there is a risk of placing the first one too far to the left or right and screwing MT or OT. I also think misplacement is more likely to result in an overlap rather than a short tether, since the second set are further forward and thus can't back out to save.
@SD-it5ko Жыл бұрын
Yes, thank you :). Your drawing is correct. I think there's always a risk but ive never seen it fail if I'm first (I'm a tank main) and place it like I described it.
@booshalmighty Жыл бұрын
@@SD-it5ko "If I'm first". That's the thing right? If I'm stretching my tether first I'm not gonna mess my meteor on the sides, but it's about what some random in a pf is likely to do. I've seens randoms mess up both your placement and my vid placement, but the strat from the vid usually just kills 1. Like I said though, your placement is completely valid, maybe in some circumstances actually comfier. However I think for a pf setting an algorithm of L>R prio with 1st stretching tethers as far as possible is much simpler than adding an exception of "if side but tethered from opposite side, go here".
