I was a kid when Ronaldo and Messi started their careers. And i loved them both through their careers, but CR7 will always have a special place in my heart. Messi has always had the edge on him if we are talking about pure and raw football talent and this is the reason why if i have to choose between them i'll always pick Cristiano. He had to put hard work to reach, and for long periods overcome, Messi talent. First at arrive, last to leave. Never left a pitch without putting max effort. And a true leader, never seen him give up before the end of a match. And i don't know why but the rush of adrenaline that this guy give me during games and the way he gives me hope even in difficult games is something else. Messi never did this for me. And i'm not saying because he is not beterr than CR7 or bla bla bla, simply i always found Cristiano more exciting to watch and follow. I guess it's subjective. For these reasons if my life is on the line in a footbal game, i'll always choose Cristiano.,^*

I still remember this game so clearly. Woke up early (in australia) to watch the game with my old man, who is a chelsea fan. I remember having so much brash confidence as a young united fan, so sure we would win the game. I remember the stress and despair at half time thinking we could have easily been up 2 or 3 nil yet somehow chelsea had made it 1-1. The whole second half was brutal, it felt like momentum had shifted. The Drogba slap, potentially costing them the game. You'd have to back him to score his penalty. The old man was fuming quietly trying his best to vent his rage without waking up the rest of the house. Ronaldo MISSING THE PENALTY 😭 I was close to tears. Then, of course, a moment that i'll never let my dad live down, John Terry slipping on his arse and missing a pen to hand us the trophy 🤣Incredible scenes
