Hey, you beautiful lot. Sorry for the delay, I've been very busy.
I finally take 042 up into the pattern to log the final 0.7hrs needed for my qualifying solo time. I run you through how I land a plane using the methods LewDix has taught me, although we quickly find out that, due to busy airspace, the method has to be adapted to the ever-changing conditions. You'll see!

Amazing video today and cant wait to see the video with you with your PPL I just wanted to ask a quick question as well, does your airspeed indicator have both MPH and Kts or is it just Kts because I'm learning in an Archer and I just wanted to see if it had the same airspeed indicator in the warrior as well.
@ZeroThreeDelta
@ZeroThreeDelta 4 жыл бұрын
Yes, it has MPH on the outside and KTS on the inside. These are fairly typical in aircraft produced in the 1970’s and less common from the 80’s onwards.

If I have it mounted the other way, it starts to cover up dials. Some people buy the longer arm and mount it underneath the yoke. It’s a personal preference.
@IABoomerTube
@IABoomerTube 4 жыл бұрын
It looks like there's a bracket at the bottom of the yoke mount in the center. If he mounted the iPad home button down, he couldn't plug in a charge cable in flight if needed. That's my guess.

Hi buddy, Just wondering if you could let me know what settings you're using on your overhead GoPro? I tried to record a flight today but outside looked way too bright.
@ZeroThreeDelta
@ZeroThreeDelta 3 жыл бұрын
Hey! I'm not using any real custom settings in protune or anything like that. I'm shooting 4K at 24fps. We have noticed that the distance from the overhead mount location in relation to the windshield makes a difference. For example, the mount in the Cessna 172 is further back and therefore the camera has difficulty finding an even exposure, rather trying to expose more for the panel than the exterior. You can try changing the settings but I can't guarantee that'll make the difference you're looking for. Maybe mount it closer to the windscreen? If that doesn't help, an ND filter or prop filter may work. Good luck!

Not a lot. For those who prefer a 3 degree glide path with a bit of power constantly applied, it works well but certainly isn’t necessary.
@harrothepilot
@harrothepilot 2 жыл бұрын
Using full flap in a taper wing warrior adds a little bit of drag, so it allows you to steepen your approach a bit more. You will notice the difference if you fly something like a C172/C182, where the flaps are like barn doors, and lot more effective.
