The Titans did NOT have Amuro under surveillance, it was the EFF with the orders coming straight from the top. The EFF did not trust "newtypes" AT ALL..They did not want to risk someone who essentially wiped out the Principality of Zeon single handedly turning that ire against them. It wasn't the Titans, bro. They were basically special forces and did not try to absorb and BECOME the whole EFF until late in the Zeta show.

Thanks, glad you like them! Re: Titans: you have a good source? or just personal preference. All original Japanese written/spoken/gunpla use ティターンズ Titānzu. Titans is a complete different word spelled タイタンズ (Taitanzu).

@@KAIJUCORP ahhh. I guess it’s my anglo-self interpretation. If it’s spelled “T-I-T-A-N-S” in English then it’s pronounced “tie-tans”. However, I don’t speak or read Japanese so if your example is how they spell it in Japanese then you’re pronunciation is likely correct and they are translating it to English the best they can. Oh well.

Yeah, I chose that pronunciation after research. Probably will sound weird for people who watch dub. But when in doubt in Gundam, follow the original Japanese pronunciation. Which was what I did for AEUG as well.

@@KAIJUCORP Actually, if you refer to Japanese wiki, ティターンズ is referring to the Greek pre-Olympian Gods, which is pronounced as “tie-tans”. The following is the wiki link, just change the language to English and you will see it is about Titans. ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%83%86%E3%82%A3%E3%83%BC%E3%82%BF%E3%83%BC%E3%83%B3 One thing you forgot to consider is that in the 80's, most Japanese still have problems pronouncing English words. Since I have been doing business with Japanese for years, I have noticed and was informed by them that mispronunciation happened a lot at that time. Another example would be "gemini" from Saint Seiya which they pronounce it as "geminee". As a former translator, I prefer to adjust it so that it is suitable for the audience it is intended.

@@Agul2001 I think the creators tried to imitate the French prononciation of the word "titan". We already know that the serie makes a lot of references to France: Char Aznable refers to the French singer Charles Aznavour, we also have a ship named "La vie en rose" (the name of a famous song by the great Edith Piaf), Kamille is named after the French woman sculptor Camille Claudel, and I clearly saw in one episode a painting by French painter Renoir.

Did not mention the girly name of Kamile which is the reason why we have zeta. 0/10 review Jokes aside Messala is regarded as TMA not TMS. TMS has a much smaller size and power outpost compare to TMS. Ms from Zeta projects are TMS. Most titans Transformable (especially in the beginning) are TMA due to its shear size and power output (also built in mega launcher)
