This is very special for me because I have early memories with Eric and testament! I was in a band and we were super lucky to open for testament at the stone in San Francisco in 1987! Eric and the guys were so cool to us and treated us good! We were all hanging out at the stone all day and we got to see testament soundcheck! At that that time I didn”t know how to play the chugga thrash riff and Eric showed me how to do it! They were our heroes already but became gods to us that night! Love them!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

I think Eric is very Under Rated, His writing over 95% of All Testament's Songs, plus his outstanding Rhythm Playing Live, and his Back Ground Vocals, and even his Lead Playing has increased & gotten way better & better!

I really relate with what Eric said about portrait of a "nun" that his mom had that scared him. My grandmother also had a painting of Jesus that freaked me out. And just like that portrait of a "nun" that Eric referred to, this portrait of Jesus stared at you. I also hated a portrait of Mona Lisa for same reason. When I first saw an album cover of Black Sabbath's debut album, the woman in the cover also reminded me of those two portraits that I hated. It freaked me out.

I cannot fucking wait to hear this, testament is truly a tale of perseverance. When i was in high school mid 90s, people were brainwashed or something. Nobody listened to metal. Back in 2001 there was a metal festival in Asbury Park New Jersey called the New Jersey Metal meltdown. I ran into Eric in the men's room and he was taking a leak at the urinal next to mine. Gary & Eric are Very similar in the fact that they both write all most all of the Albums they put out. I'd say Eric is a better Rhythm player than Gary live, and has some of the coolest evil background vocals, but Gary holds his own & his leads are off the hook(some of the very best in the genre), and his use of his Whammy Bar, are Legendary & Ground Breaking For Thrash Metal. Both were Bay Area Hall of Famers!

I grew up listening to 80's thrash metal and reading metal magazines and fanzines, so if I don't know who quite a few of of the people he's referring are, then metal fans who grew up in later generations definitely wouldn't.
