As much as I love Grian, you did a better job showing the actual steps than he does. I think that's primarily because he's just so used to it that it's easy for him to glaze over certain aspects. You, on the other hand, really helped me in a great way.
@AykiraV Жыл бұрын
Honestly.. I love the overall message this video gives off. Despite whatever ideas may be floating through your head, give them a try. For the people in the back who often start projects and never finish, or never know what to do next.. just build! Grab some wool or whatever blocks make it easy and just make some shapes and start refining. We all gotta start somewhere
@ohladthekewlkid1467 Жыл бұрын
I would finish all my builds if i got paid for them even if they were awful
@kittenkitsune703 Жыл бұрын
I think this is a really great start! You already have a good handle on detailing. I think because it's such a large build spanning such a big area, more block variation would help and also adding custom trees and vegetation, water features etc will add so much and really make the place feel alive! As someone who is also in the process of learning how to improve my building skills I can say for sure that you're on the right path!
@aazteq7662 Жыл бұрын
i would recommend adding more varied terrain to the flat areas and also adding more details to the paths and the circle window as well to make it pop more. i normally just cram stuff in to make it tightly packed and more immersive to walk around. i hope this helped

I LOVE IT, the small buildings, the barn and the windmill are excellent, the only problem is that i think the colours of the actual mega base blend in a bit to much with the environment, try adding a big green door or something, otherwise it is excellent! Keep it going!!!

it looks good! you just have to fill in the empty spaces. make places to visit your villagers and if you want you can add places that would normally be rooms in your house, like an enchanting tower instead of a room.

@lunargabrielle Жыл бұрын
pretty good for a first major build! next time you defnitely need to add more color to break up sections, especially that big brown mountain side. even if its just some leaves trailing up and down the place and adding some flowers, a little big of color variation and breaking up the huge chunks of one color helps LOADS. the actually buildings looked really damn good, especially for a new builder!

A good way of planning a large build like this is to make it in creative first, and you can use mods like world edit to help. Keep in mind, these kinds of mods can be hard to use, especially for the first time. But with practice, you can make some amazing things!

One cool thing about sheep and getting dyes is that if you breed two sheep that are colored with dye that can combine (red+white, red+yellow, green+white, red+blue, black+white etc) they have a chance to make a baby sheep of those colors mixed! (Pink, orange, lime, purple, grey) otherwise they will be the color of one of the two parents. This is a good way to get sheep in colors that you don’t have access to. (Mixing sheep will only happen if the dyes mix, so no breeding green from yellow and blue afaik)

if more terrain was addded it would look like a nice base, but it didnt feel well mega. grian said mega bases need to feel mega several times, maybe add gradients and variation in the landscape aswell as the build? maybe build some trees give the build an identity. the windows were to be honest very flat and needed more work but for as you put it a first propper build it looked amazing

I would say that you defenetely need to improve the mountain a bit by adding more stone in it and other things in it, because mountains do not just consist of dirt and making it not that flay on top. The farms, in my opinion should have some evelation too. And by the way, I would also recommend watching so BdoubleOO's videos about building. He does great job with texturing his buildings, making things look natural and adding interesting details. It is completely another level of minecraft building, but it is very interesting and will make your building look amazing
