Im surprised you reacted to this video. This is one of her lesser known performances and one of the best. This concert was to raise money for a nowegian charity that seeks to advance girls rights and equality in third world countries, via health education and protection from violence. It was certainly Angelina that asked to do this, her family allows her to participate in these types of events. She has also sung at other UN fund raising events. How Angelina is, comes from her close family especially her artist grandmother who is a jazz freak. 8 years old, this is truly a song that suits her jazz voice and one she has sung since she was a toddler. fabulous angel of the feet

That is a two and a half minutes of pure heaven... Indeed heaven on earth. She is not from here... Maybe from somewhere divine. I have the same question Emerson... Where am I when she emerged? Why I got to appreciate her only now. But I'm glad blessed I found her. My ultimate dream is just to see her perform live. And I'm praying it will be in the soonest time.

I don't know what brought tears to my eyes, Angelina's beautiful voice or your reaction to it. At last, Emerson is at a loss for words! You are not alone my friend! No matter how many times I listen to Angelina sing anything I am spellbound and just thankful that I have had the honor to be alive to see and hear her! I sure hope that I am still around when she comes of age and starts to perform in the U.S. I believe that she is going to be the one that people are talking about for decades! It is so difficult for me to say whether any of her performances are her best because no matter what she sings- the phonebook for instance, she is mesmerizing As a fellow believer I have to agree with you that she is a gift from God in a world gone wrong! All that being said, as a believer you MUST react to her version of Harry Belafonte's Mary's Boy Child! There is no video as it was recorded in a radio station ,but no video is required for this one! Norway has an event every year to collect money from the whole of Norway for a charity prosjekt. This is Angelina singing at the event. Collecting money for an organization who helps kids in the third world. 👍🏻😊

Well, Emerson, your reaction to Angelina is fantastic, as usual. I love watching you stumble around looking for words to explain this phenom. That's not a criticism, because i do the same thing. I love this song, and I've heard it covered many, many times, but never better than this. The only cover I would put in the same league as Angelina's is Eva Cassidy's. And I believe Eva Cassidy is one of the greatest singers that ever lived. Her life was cut short (33) and there are only a few songs that she left us. And this is one of her best IMO. But she was a full grown woman, and Angelina looks to be 10 or 11 here. And Angelina's version is much jazzier and raspier. Of all the singers I've ever listened to (I'm 77 so that's a lot), no one has ever impressed me like Angelina. I love your reaction, Emerson. Best wishes. Billy J

This performance appears to be another fundraising event for the refugees and needy children of this world. It stems from her reason why she performs barefoot (at age 6), and why she published an illustrated children's book entitled, "Between Two Hearts" (at age 9). She has donated all of its proceeds to this cause. Angelina, and other pre-teen prodigies, have devoted themselves to charitable events, to improve the world. Angelina was very ill, but since the concert was for a children’s charity, like the little trooper she is, she came to sing. That’s why her voice is slightly hoarse. She still gave a stunning interpretation, and as usual made it her own.

Not her best, but there were moments that were some kind of magic. I'll only give her a 102 out of a 100. The understatement and the phrasing were at times beyond extra special. It usually takes a singer 30 years experience with an extra special voice to pull off those miracles.
