Full walkthrough of the PC game "Call of Duty 1" (released in 2003) on the hardest game difficulty (Veteran), Part 11 - U.K. Campaign: Eder Dam. The game was played by me with flawless free flow completion of the missions without the use of checkpoints. All the scenario scenes and dialogues are included in the video, from the intro of the game till the credits at the end, hence the watchers can understand the storyline of the game. Quite a sinister depiction of Germans in this mission. The radio narrator suggest you to surrender in English while in German he screams "keine Gefangene" - no prisoners.

This mission and the one on the Battleship are the worst in the game. They remind me of something from medal of honor where you're a one man army Rambo single handedly taking on the entire German army. The missions with allies feels more real and more intense. These missions should've had you fighting with a few other commandos to make them seem more real and immersive!

I'm glad someone else has put this comment out. This game is not meant to be played on veteran if it's going to throw such a needlessly long AND shitty rambo mission at you. There's literally no reason to be alone during this mission. Not to mention all the scripted AI movements which just pisses me off and I just ended up uninstalling the game during this mission, sick and tired of dying. Every single mission before this was a delight to play.

The Sten Mark 2 and MP40 both use 9mm Luger ammo. The magazines for the Sten are a direct copy of the MP38/40 magazines as well. Which is why they both hold 32 rounds. So they even use the SAME EXACT MAGAZINE. Why can't they resupply each other? I bet IW STILL doesn't know this.

Awesome!! Love this game started playing again after years on my PC. This is my first time playing Veteran level but. I will say though even though you didn't need it. There is Ammo for the Sniper rifle just past the first flak88 gun on the side wall. 🙂

Good, a commando mission... what do you mean we have to undertake this op a la James Patterson and B.J. Blazkowicz AND with no teammates? If you notice the dates, the operation happens after the rescue of Price and before Ingram's from the U.S. campaign beforehand. And yes, Sgt. Waters is voiced by a young Jason Statham before The Transporter changed things. Really interesting that the spotlights have dead switches in case there are no nearby live Germans around. 12:18: Coaxing you to surrender in English. Pitiful. 14:53: Noted, Mr. Bonaparte.

The first mission in this game where they threw realism out completely...like...sure..a single soldier kills an entire german platoon,takes out every AA gun in the area and blows up the power generators...yeah...sure ^^

OMG! FUCK THIS MISSION ON VETERAN! That blaring siren with that German announcement on constant repeat as I have to replay the CHECKPOINT from 4:38 to 6:20 where I kept dying (including on the way there a few times). After dying well over 30 times, for some reason after dying at 6:48 for like the 4th or 5th time. Instead of getting the CHECKPOINT overlooking the turbine room, I got a CHECKPOINT at 6:28. I have no idea how that worked because looking at this CHECKPOINT guide: www.xboxachievements.com/forum/showthread.php?t=193967 I shouldn't have gotten a CHECKPOINT there. I was fighting through this section at 50% health & was about to restart the Mission so I had 100% health for when I fight up to the turbine room again until that odd CHECKPOINT happened. This Mission is no pleasant experience & isn't as fun like the others where you're fighting with your team. 9/10 times I have no problem with a whole variety of games on the hardest difficulty setting. Having to slowly methodically peak around corners using the D-Pad, grenade spamming around corners or over obstacles to take out waiting/lurking Nazis, wall glitching enemies & waiting for them to run past a corner, run through a doorway or peak their head out while you free aim or aim down sight as they come into your line of sight so you can spray away gets boring/tedious fast. I can pass this game on Veteran, but the way they implemented Veteran difficulty for this particular CoD game forced me to cheese every Mission & rely on my allies (when I have them) to do all the fighting as much as possible so I'm not one-two shot dozens of times isn't a fun experience. It's not a playstyle choice either, IMO there's no other methods of play that will work efficiently/effectively to pass this game on Veteran. One man army in this Mission on Veteran wasn't a fun experience like it is in a Halo or Doom game. This Mission was a slow paced memorizing wall peaking grenade spamming corner rushing chore.

I feel the exact thing, just finished this game on hardened probably took around 1-2 hours, and get a migraine in right side of the head, this mission turns you from hero of the game to be regular a.i soldiers where few shots you are dead and the enemies are like zombies, they deal much damage, and needs to empty your magazine to kill like 3-4 of them and sometimes you need your pistol to make sure they are 1000% dead,i keep dying all over, especially after this checkpoint 4:39 apparently i win this mission as exact method as you, i.e memorizing ai movement, when and where they would move, jiggle peeking every corner, spam grenade in certain corner/ chamber/ room, memorizing all nazi’s position, and spawn position in next seconds etc, this just transform the fun part into tryhard-professional robot mode, where your main objective is just to win the game, and fun is not involved, cant imagine playing this in veteran, probabbly the hardest game/part ive ever played in my entire life.
