Zexal is super underrated, all because the first episodes were boring, the rest of the series is amazing.

Yuma is a terrible main character, but yah the Barians and Don Thousand are pretty great. Shark/Nasch/Ryoga is one of the best characters in the entire fuckin franchise.

@@Max-zg6ld I wouldn’t say he’s terrible because I like underdog stories. Even with Yuya from Arc-V, I found him annoying as hell when I started Arc-V but he grew on me by the end. But yeah idk why a lot of people just assume Zexal is bad or something. It has in my opinion the largest collection of interesting/cool characters out of all of the series. Don’t get me wrong I started with DM back in the day, but in terms of story I think the worst are GX and Vrains (my opinion is pending on Vrains because I’m still watching it). Also, yes Jaden is one of if not the most entertaining of MCs. That’s not the reason I rate it poorly.

@@Max-zg6ld I agree with the statement regarding Shark and the Barians, but Yuma grows into a better character over the course of the series. I also disagree with DT being pretty great. That is basically the yugioh equivalent of Kaguya Otsutsuki from Naruto. Generic personality, really strong but lacking in any real skill, and is fought right before the hero can fight their rival in a more entertaining battle that more adequately resolves the plot (though in zexal's case, there's still one more duel)
