Oil pan or transmission pan gaskets are a bit tricky so to avoid leaks i zip tie the gasket and i have never had leaks after the job

You have a 7G-Tronic Mercedes gearbox Try using orignal mercedes oil and filter procedure is almost same

Local mechanic filled X1 with Dsg fluid when I said him ZF 8 needs different fluid he said nothing as such we normally put this same oil in all Bmw'😊 It will damage the transmission in long run right?

@theunbeliever8921 gone through the specs of this oil this is for dual clutch not for dsg it might work still as long as the oil is new but when it starts degrading you might have some issues

Do you have clients based in Jaipur, we have our Bosch service centre who only understands routine service like changing engine oil and filters. He managed to do steering fluid and brake fluid change but doesn't understand/specialise in AT transmission oil change. It is a 2012 A4 2.0TDI CVT with 73k kms, in UK they recommend it to be changed at 38k miles/60k kms which worries me about the longevity, where is your workshop based, next time I visit India this is the next thing to be sorted out for our peace of mind.
