The ZGMF-X56S/α Force Impulse Gundam is a Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. It is piloted by Shinn Asuka and later by Lunamaria Hawke.
The ZGMF-X56S/α Force Impulse Gundam is the ZGMF-X56S Impulse Gundam equipped with the α Force Silhouette pack. The Force Impulse is a general purpose MS like the original Impulse, but has extremely high mobility under gravity and in zero gravity due to the Force Silhouette's high output thrusters and large wings. This pack also enables atmospheric flight, and adds a pair of beam sabers to the Impulse's standard armaments, granting the Force Impulse high melee and ranged combat capabilities. The Force Impulse is the most commonly used form of the Impulse due to its high versatility, and it is said that its aerial combat capabilities are equivalent to the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam's. The Force Impulse retains the same VPS colors as the original Impulse.

In the movie Impulse got found by Erica Simmons and her crew and repaired, also upgraded into Impulse Gundam Spec-II. Lunamaria handle the Impulse once again and defeat Foundation.

Funny thing, on the sd gundam g generation games she has like 12 in shooting and almost 40 in melee attacks

昔は射撃下手なのかと思ってたけど、今考えるとシャトルを落とせなかったのは、高速飛行による空気抵抗等によるブレや重力の影響等があり、どうしてもそれてしまったんだなぁと考えられるようになった

漫画版でもキラとシンが高速で宇宙へ上がっていくシャトルを撃墜出来なかった補完もされてましたし、当時から言われていたルナが戦犯ってネタには疑問でしたねコメントの通り高速飛行や空気抵抗、またMSの限界速度及び高度まで移動しながら正確に狙い撃つのは極めて困難だったでしょう

全シルエット射出によるシームレスな切り替えに加え、デュートリオンビームをデスティニーから受けられる時点で同等に救済されたと思います。ブラストの見せ場も結構あったし。

スパロボでヘブンズベース戦のエクスカリバーパスが再現されたときは泣いて喜んだまさか劇場版で誤射マリアを見れるとは思いませんでした...(あのハインラインさんが無理っていってたししゃあない終盤はルナもシンちゃん同様感情がゴチャついたまま戦ってたんだな...劇場版でシンが行方不明になったらそりゃ堪えるわ...

The director obviously knew this so they let her shoot down one nuke in the movie to justify herself but having a second nuke to get the job done lol

I disagree I think Luna should have gotten a different gundam by seed freedom. I think we should have gotten a new Impulse with three new backpacks for Shinn. Don't get me wrong Destiny spec 2 kicked ass but I think both suits were made for Shinn and were master by him. Luna could use the Impulse but not in its true potential like Shinn.

@Nataku302 The Destiny was literally built for Shinn. Why would Shinn return to using the Impulse when he was able to master his piloting skills with the Destiny? Luna herself was already good with the Impulse as shown in Freedom, being able to take down squads of mobile suits with it in the Blast Impulse.

ヘブンズベース攻略戦でシンが「ルナマリア」って呼んでるが、シンが呼ぶときはどんな時も愛称の「ルナ」のほうがいいと思うんだよな。テレビ版はひたすら「ルナ」のままだった気がする。

That's what I've been saying. It's flashy combination sequence takes too long. An enemy MS could easily land multiple hits on the parts mid flight. Especially since it often transformed mid battle.

임펄스 건담은 자프트의 세컨드 스테이지 중 하나로 어디서 많이 본것 같은데 맞다.우주세기의 퍼스트 건담 페러디 혹은 오마주가 맞다.왜냐하면 임펄스의 플라이어 시스템이 다름아니 코어 블록 시스템과 너무 유사하기 떄문이다.게다가 임펄스는 애초에 양산화도 되지 않았는데 그 이유는 단가가 너무 비싸기 때문이다.그 이유는 플라이어 시스템 때문이다.레그 플라이어 하나가 파손되면 그걸 또 사출 시켜서 교체해야 하기 때문에 일일히 잘 피해야 한다. 주 무장은 M71-AAK 폴딩 레이저 대장갑 대검 2개 MMI-RG59V 기동 방순(機動防盾) MA-BAR72 고에너지 빔 라이플 MMI-GAU25A 20mm CIWS 2문 이렇게 되어 있다.이건 임펄스 기본 무장이며 포스 실루엣 이나 소드 실루엣은 무장은 동일하다. 조종사는 남편인 신 아스카가 아니라 아내인 루나마리아 호크인데 그 이유는 남편인 신은 데스티니 건담으로 갈아탄 상태였고 공석이된 임펄스는 루나에게 넘어간것이다. 초반부 까지는 자쿠 워리어를 운용했다가 후반부 부터는 루나가 조종하게 된다. 근데 조종 실력은 그리 좋지는 않는데 애초에 루나는 자쿠 워리어를 조종했기 때문에 임펄스 조종이 약간 서툴수밖에 없다. 그러나 메사이어 공방전에서는 그나마 한쪽팔 과 한쪽 다리만 작살나서 그나마 중파된 상태에서 보존되었다.어차피 다른 레그 플라이어 나 체스트 플라이어를 교체하면 되지만 그것또한 교체 불가인데 그 이유는 이때 미네르바는 아크엔젤에게 두둘겨 맞아 완전히 대파된 상태였기 때문에 함선 자체가 기동 불능 상태에 빠져버린 바람에 레그 플라이어 와 체스트 플라이어 그리고 다른 실루엣을 사출조차 할수 없는 상태인데다 듀트리온 빔으로 에너지 충전도 할수 없는 상태였다. 하지만 복수에 눈이 먼 신에 의해 하마터면 작살날뻔 했고 그 대신 아스란이 신의 데스티니를 아주 그냥 두둘겨 패버리는 바람에 데스티니는 완전히 걸레짝이 되어버리고 말았다. 메사이어 공방전 이후로는 터미널이 비밀리에 회수해서 수리 후 임펄스 스펙 2로 개수되었다.왜냐하면 메사이어 공방전 이후로는 임펄스는 완전히 구식 기체로 취급되었다... 임펄스 스펙 2 무장은 개수되기 전의 임펄스와 동일하다.
