黄永宏部长的回答很中肯也很客观实在，有当年李资政的影子。新加坡作为周旋在各大国之间的弹丸小国，确实需要审时度势，不能被認為在偏袒任何一方。反观最近看见前外长杨荣文准将在受访时表达的观点让我捏了一把冷汗，有一部分甚至误解（无视？）了历史和法理事实（提到南京条约和中英联合宣言的部分），谈到新疆时更是有 “那又怎么说主义” （whataboutism) 和受害者指责 (victim blaming) 的味道，一面倒的帮中共背书，实在庆幸他已经不是我们的外交部长，否则在现今的国际局势下新加坡的外交可能会失衡。

The way that the interview framed his questions was amazingly unprofessional for any kind of journalist. It was like, "Well we know that China oppresses its people, butchers and eats its children, and is menacing the world with its aggressive military....So, what do you think of China as a world threat?" He is literally already convicting China of a whole laundry list of crimes and misconducts, and trying to get the Singaporean leader to agree. Glad to see that this high level Singaporean official is far too intelligent to fall into his word trap. He basically destroyed every accusation posed by the interview and made the point that from the Chinese point of view, they have only acted to protect China's own interests and security. He sounds like a very intelligent and informed leader. Clearly, a lot smarter than this journalist with an agenda.

Former PM Lee had in 2020 announced that Singapore is NOT an ally of the US and will neither conduct military operations on behalf of the US nor seek direct military support from them. Current PM Wong has also reiterated this recently when he was there. It beats me why some people still fail to comprehend this.

新加坡的部長們被高估了。香港有更多的人才和政府領導人，但世界卻忽視了他們，並沒有邀請他們參加國際訪談。為什麼？比較新加坡和香港的規模，新加坡只是一個自獨立以來由單一政黨統治的威權城市國家。另一方面，香港應該被邀請參加這樣的論壇和訪談。

America has to decide for itself whether to still be the global leader and allow competition within the system or to have a dual global system. It seems at this trajectory, it is inevitable that a separate system will slowly form.

With the prosperity comes the better Chinese people's behavior. US and the west has hundreds of years of prosperity to shape their behavior. We still like the ordinary American and European people, they are nice, honest, fair, kind and polite.. China, with more high tech engineers, will catchup and lead the world but will at the same time move more towards market capitalism. If US is willing to work with China, the world will be a better place for all. World stage will be different, BRICs..BRI. will lift the third world's economy. It will be a better world. CCP communism will not be the same. The ball is in US's court. China is always ready to talk and find a win-win solution but you cannot expect China to give up all. Just like BRI. Its popularity is that I show you how to fish, and you need to help yourself.

新加坡海軍基地（英語：Singapore Naval Base），全名「新加坡-女王陛下海軍基地」（Her Majesty's Naval Base, Singapore）或「新加坡-國王陛下海軍基地」（His Majesty's Naval Base, Singapore），俗稱「勝寶旺海軍基地」或「三巴旺海軍基地」（Sembawang Naval Base），是位於新加坡北端之三巴旺地區的一個海軍基地，擴建之前為一個軍港，乃英國皇家海軍的陸上設施，也是兩次世界大戰中大英帝國的海軍國防政策（即新加坡戰略）在遠東的一個基石。
