支笏湖 Lake Shikotsu

Most of Shikotsuko is little developed except for Shikotsu Kohan, a small, touristy town with a visitor center and a small number of lodgings along the lake's western shores.
While enjoying nature, you can also learn about Lake Shikotsu at the visitor center.
支笏湖の大部分は、支笏湖畔を除いてほとんど開発されていません。支笏湖畔は、ビジターセンターと湖の西岸沿いに少数の宿泊施設がある小さな観光都市です。
自然を満喫しつつも、ビジターセンターで支笏湖について学べます。
A rental car is the recommended mode of transportation for exploring the Shikotsuko region. Buses to the park operate only infrequently, and the trailhead of Mount Tarumae is not accessible by public transportation. The lake is a 40 minute drive from Shin-Chitose Airport, an 80 minute drive from central Sapporo or an hour drive from Lake Toya.
支笏湖エリアの観光にはレンタカーがおすすめの交通手段です。 公園行きのバスは本数が少なく、樽前山の登山口までは公共交通機関ではアクセスできません。 新千歳空港からは車で 40 分、札幌中心部からは車で 80 分、洞爺湖からは車で 1 時間です。
