13:29 Kotaro: ("Did Lord Hisahide blow himself up again?") Despite being feared as a soulless devil, Kotaro seems to hold on to something that could be considered human emotion in a bizarre, twisted way. In the ending of his Gaiden in "Sengoku BASARA 2 Eiyuu Gaiden (HEROES)", instead of immediately returning to Ujimasa Hojo after killing Sasuke and Kasuga, Kotaro starts a forest fire to cremate their bodies. Then on his way back to Odawara, he pauses, looks back to the fire and lowers his head. He also seems to have a preference for smaller birds, as illustrated by his ending screens in "BATTLE HEROES" and "CHRONICLE HEROES", as well as his depiction in the OVA "Sengoku Basara Chosokabe-kun and Mori-kun". This might be a reference to Kotaro Fuma in "Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny", a game by the the same developer Capcom, in which the character has a carrier pidgeon that is also a cherished companion.

whats amazing in this series is that some taunts have actual usage, also fuma best ninja in the game, slightly sad about Hanzo but meh

Funny turn of events that in Samurai Warriors, we were waiting on Sasuke for the longest time until Sanada Maru and now Sengoku Basara is missing a Hanzo. I do like how Sengoku Basara does a throw a decent number of wacky curveball characters to balance out the number iconic names you typically expect in a game loosely based on Warring States Japan.

Funnily enough, in "Sengoku BASARA: Samurai Heroes", Hanzo Hattori is a recruitable companion. He can be unlocked after winning the stage "Cliffs of Mikatagahara" on Kotaro Fuma's Blue Route (Osaka: Summer Route).
