When I was just about 10 years old girl, My grandmother taught me how to play Koto instrument. By looking at the finger movement reminds me of that time - sweet memory. She passed away 13 years ago.But her Koto is still in my parents' home in Japan covered by kimono fabric.
I dedicated this music to my beloved grandmother when she died in 1983 I was 13.just listening reminds me of that day. It still gives me hope and peace that life changes and we must all be strong for each other in the bad times.I am a survivor🙀😂✝😇

This is amazingly beautiful! I love it! Merry Xmas!
I found his website and here is the address. On the bottom right corner of the top page, you'll see the mark that you can send e-mail to him. I guess there is no CD of this version but this song is "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence" performed by Ryuichi Sakamoto and originally it is played by piano. He improvised the original song and payed it on the Japanese traditional instrument. Hope this info helps you.

Greetings from France! Magnifique interprétation, je découvre le koto grâce à vous 😊
That there was a darn right pleasing & pretty little tune! I'm glad I took the random chance & time to listen to it. (Is there any fingering in left hand other than chordal plucking? I'm assuming all tones heard correlate with an open string pluck...?)
I think you can't buy a CD. I guess this is a song he improvised. There used be a link to his website but apparently it's already closed. I wish I could help you. Sorry.

As I don't read or speak Japanese - could someone let me how I could buy a CD, better , a DVD of this music. What kind of music is this? Do I need to ask for the name of a specific musician? Is this music from a specific period or culture? From a specific part of Japan? Is it played from music or improvised? It is just so beautiful.
Isn't there any way to get his playing or music. If you could give me some information, I could ask a friend in Japan to search for me. Thanks

I couldn't paste the address of the website. If you want to go there, click his name on this page, then you'll see the video and his profile. On the right side of the video, you can find the address like "okimasa.net". Then you can direct to the page.
