Usually, I don't write comments on youtube channel. But I have to give two thumbs up for a-mei-le and Johnny. I am very proud of you, Johnny. If you are an average Chinese, then I believe China is very hopeful and promising. Johnny, you have a big, loving, and warm heart. I am a Chinese American living in the US, and I immigrated to the US in my 20s. Now, I am a professor teaching in a public university. One of my specialty area is race. The discussion in this episode is fascinating and insightful, and I will probably share this episode with my students.

@@patt6732 That's a nice question. The fact that this lovely girl has experienced so much discrimination, in and of itself, is a compelling piece of evidence for the importance of teaching race. But this is not to say that we should teach race to a three-year-old and blame or bash one race or another. Rather, we should teach kids what happened in history, that race is a (mostly) socially constructed concept by the privileged to dominate, and we should avoid such tragedies/atrocities in the future. As well said by Hegel, "The only thing that we learn from history is that we learn nothing from history." We SHALL never forget history so as to avoid repeating tragedies. You do have good wishes ("we think of us as a global family"), but looking into the history and current affairs, the reality is just the opposite. Some people/peoples do not and will never treat others (other peoples or races) as family members/friends. We wish people forget about race, but unfortunately they don't. Hope this helps.
