Wonderful video. I’m curious if you had to bring your own sleeping bags as well as food up for this hike. I saw you had an amazing buffet .... so much food and water to carry. What about water source? Are there streams to pick up some water? Or you seriously need to bring 3 days of water in your backpack? OR ... this is all a paid and guided tour so it’s all provided. How heavy was your backpack? Here in BC our backpack weighs about 30-35lb but that’s included food tent rated sleeping bag as well as water .... nice video.

Sleeping bags are available for rent at 99 cabin (if you join a tour they will probably rent it for you), some people take mats for having more comfort but they are not necessary, the surface of the beds is good enough. Breakfasts and dinners are available at the same cabin (there’s a lot of food and it’s really delicious), only need to prepare your lunches. There are some water sources on the way (around 15 km and 16 km 700 meters from the entrance of the hike (day 1 and 3), but need to carry a water filter or boil that water. Also can refill hot/cold water at the 99 cabin. For the 2nd day of the hike - dabajian peak - you can find water source at a small cabin approximately 1 km before the peak, it’s the water collected from the rain so also need to filter or boil it.

Our backpacks were around 30lb too! We joined the group so they organized everything (permits, guidance, accommodation, food), we only had to prepare water and 2 lunches

@@chirocafe Here you go! Every tours are kinda different but surely you can ask them about the tour and said it's from us 😊instagram.com/canada_x_u.s.a_select?igshid=146xikm3m6ful
Dabajian was also my first baiyue. Friends told me it's just a chill walk in the mountains and I honestly believed. Almost died on the 4KM slope up and literally crawled on my four limbs to 99 Hut. Was all worth it making it to the peak, though I unfriended all them FRIENDS afterwards LOL

Thanks a lot for let me know the story regarding NTD 500
I've been watching 大霸 from Hsinchu for half a century. Been approaching it but never thought of getting to it's root base. I thought it is NOT allowed to walk to that close (or to climb onto it?) Anyway, I wish all respect 大霸 and understand there be restrictions to protect it. for protection and for security... Amazingly there are a few KZbinr to have posted video about 大霸。I will investigate! 👀
