Don't worry about not getting a pony. I lived in the country for a while, and I used to ride a pony with a friend. Minus Icelandic ponies who are fun to ride, most ponies are mean or hate people, in my experience. It's not always rich kids. I liked riding horses when I was younger, which is a phase for many girls. Unless the person is indeed rich, they are a lot of work. I'd take a kitten any day and a bicycle.
